A "Show Cause" hearing is where you explain to the judge why you have not paid the fines. If he does not like your story you can be cited for contempt of court. Whether or not you go to jail is dependent on a number of things. Can you pay the fines now? Are there children who are dependent on you? And so on. . .

Good luck. . .

Is is exactly as the name says. Basically, your (or your attorney's) job is to "show cause", or a reason, for you not paying your fines and that you should not be held in contempt of court.

Check out my sources for a PDF that explains all of it.

Hope this helps!

A show cause hearing means you need to explain (show) why you haven't (cause) paid your fines. Hope you got a good reason dude!

I love when you say "exlain everything I need to know." I love that because it's the only thing I understood. lol! Not really.

If you can't pay your fines, make Arrangements to pay them. That way you won't go to jail, sweetie.

Good luck.
