Firemen are not above the law. I would call the police to make a report and get a protective order.

I suppose that stalkers can come in all types of professions. Call the police and report the behavior and forget about the job that the person holds.

Report him to the local law enforcement agency. Don't call his fire department...they are not required to do anything about it if it occures off the job.
