There is this police officer in my town who advised a person to do something illegal against me. I have the proof of what the officer said and did.
I can't complain to the sheriff's office because they're taking the cop's side (obviously).
There is no "internal affairs" that I know of and the police wouldn't tell me where/how to go about filling a complaint anyway.

The crime commited is a serious one (stalking). The police had no discression. By law they were forced to arrest this person. They refused. (I found out later that the police were the ones who told this person to do what they did).

I can't contact the media because they are extremely pro law enforcement here.

So... what do I do? I don't want to let this go.

Serious answers only please. I was wondering what, in an urban environment, the best vehicle for dealing with civil unrest (city war, rioting etc) would be, bearing in mind the streets would literally be clogged with hostile crowds.

The scenario we've been given is that we must drive through the city from A to B to pick up a friend, then back to point A, right through the trouble hotspots.

We've been given the options of a Porsche 911, to try and out-maneouvre crowds and other vehicles (driven by hostiles), or a Land Rover to basically smash through anything that gets in the way- which tactic is best, in all seriousness?

We are assuming that the hostiles are literally trying to topple the vehicle over and claw their way in, and you can drive anyway you want to to make sure you get your friend back to safety.

Thanks!

I got pulled over today for a tail light bulb out, but I didn't have my registration with me at the time so he gave me a warning (not a ticket) and said I had 10 days to fix the light and show an officer my registration and have him sign it and turn it in. 10 days until what, is my question? Some of my friends have gotten warnings, and NEVVVER turned them in, and nothing ever happend to them. I don't need advice, I know what to do, but I'm wondering what happens if you don't turn it in? Anyone ACTUALLY KNOW? This is in Aurora, Nebraska, so they're alittle easy on people for this kind of stuff.

I've read that there were fingerprints found at the OJ simpson murder crimescene that didn't match with OJ.

Does anyone know if this is true? Can anyone link me to an official report that states this?

Thanks

Basically, i have only recently found out that i `apparantly` have a `formal warning` against me from my juvenile years...which i had no idea i had and dont believe it to be honest. This has stopped me getting the job of my dreams as i had no idea about this.
I have asked for a PNC (Police National Computer) check against all my details and will find out soon, the outcome.
If there has been a `formal warning` made against me at some point in my life but i am adamant that i have never received one or remember receiving one...can i appeal against it with the Metropolitan Police?

in any trouble before, not even a speeding ticket. The State Trooper that stopped me started yelling at me and I took off. Bad move. When I slowed down to stop he hit my car(pit manu) I got out and he slammed me to the ground with all his weight on top of me. He weighs 250 and I weigh,102. He severely broke my elbow joint. The hospital I was taken to X-rayed it, and put a half cast on it and I was taken to jail. I found out afterward that my arm should have had pins placed in it to heal properly, but they didn't do that. I can't use it like I used to, I can't even straighten it out. It would have to be rebroken to be fixed. There's much more details. I was treated really badly. I can't find an Attorney that will help me in this city, and I know what happened to me was wrong and what I did was wrong, but I never hurt anyone,(except myself) in any way, and never would. I didn't deserve what I went thru. Can you tell me how to find some legal help, please? Thanks Traci

If, for example, Dutch police were making a pursuit of a getaway car on the motorway and the criminals cross the German border, would the Dutch police officers then be in possession of unauthorised weapons (i.e. their guns) in Germany if they were forced to cross the border in order to turn back to the otherside of the motorway?

TUCSON, Ariz. — Guidelines issued by U.S. attorneys in Texas showed that most illegal immigrants crossing into the state had to be arrested at least six times before federal authorities would prosecute them, according to an internal Justice Department memo.

The disclosure provides a rare view of how federal authorities attempt to curb illegal immigration. The memo was released this week in response to a congressional investigation of the dismissals of eight U.S. attorneys.

The Border Patrol makes more than 1 million arrests a year on the U.S.-Mexico border. T.J. Bonner, head of a union representing Border Patrol agents, said it's unrealistic to prosecute all violators.

"Let's be honest, there isn't enough jail space to incarcerate everyone who crosses that border," said Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council. "If everyone demanded hearing in front of an immigration judge, it would bring our system to a grinding halt in a matter of days!
