If you have ever been to a VA Veterans for decades loathe going to the VA as they are rat traps and a lot of them are good but the whole V.A. system really needs to be overhauled.

They are under fire for political reasons unfortunately. As most things go these days, there is usually an alternative objective or a political agenda as the driving force behind the media. The VA does deserve the scrutiny though. Because it just plain sucks. It's appauling how our vets are treated in this country. Hell, how service members are treated and I think any scrutiny is deserved regardless of the "reason."

They are an easy target. Congress funds them on an annual basis, and usually underfunds them. No one can predict with accuracy the amount of casulties the US will have in a given period. They Refuse to put them in the regular budget, 'cause then they would loose control of that portion of expenditures annually, that they could earmark for other pork projects. The president is doing the same thing.

Because the Liberal Media sees it as a way to try to discredit this Administration...Clinton did NOTHING for Veterans or his Active Duty Military, but you will not hear about that on CNN or read it in the New York Times..

If you analyze 'audito4's' answer, you will see all the explanations to all our questions... he has hit the 'crap22' switch-a-roo button squarely on the head..!! [oops, i meant catch22..]
VA services are out-sourced from governmental responsibility for exactly the reasons he mentioned...
Congress gives it's self pay raises...that's there first consideration...then they allot moneys to there affiliates... then they suck up to influence...then they kiss up to potential support...and lastly, they assume there responsibility to us...the voters.
