in any trouble before,not even a speeding ticket. The State Trooper that stopped me started yelling at me and I took off. Bad move. When I slowed down to stop he hit my car(pit manu) I got out and he slammed me to the ground with all his weight on top of me. He weighs 250 and I weigh,102. He severely broke my elbow joint. The hospital I was taken to X-rayed it, and put a half cast on it and I was taken to jail. I found out afterward that my arm should have had pins placed in it to heal properly, but they didn't do that. I can't use it like I used to, I can't even straighten it out. It would have to be rebroken to be fixed. There's much more details. I was treated really badly. I can't find an Attorney that will help me in this city, and I know what happened to me was wrong and what I did was wrong, but I never hurt anyone,(except myself) in any way, and never would. I didn't deserve what I went thru. Can you tell me how to find some legal help, please? Thanks Traci

Others replied to my question. I appreciated their thoughts. However, it's not the Officer that I wanted to pursue, although I believe he used excessive force. It's the fact that the hospital decided to sentence me with a life long disability because they didn't fix it properly and I can prove that. I would have to have it rebroken and fixed right. I stated that what I did was wrong and it was, but there are reasons why it took place. And I didn't put anyone in danger and wasn't traveling at a high speed. I was slowing to stop when the Officer hit me and spun my car into the other lanes. I didn't put others in danger. I didn't pass anyone. There was hardly any traffic at that time. If there were, would it have been wise for the Cop to spin me out of control? My point, Does a hospital have the right to punish me,or the court? It's not about the Cop at all for me. I want to find legal help outside of this area because of medical reasons.

Since you have access to a computer, have you tried the ACLU? You know, the people you hate and talk about as the lowest scum of the earth when your talking about those polices that your for, but need when your in trouble?

If you can't find an attorney in your city perhaps you should look elsewhere. It's good that you feel bad for what you did, but don't expect any sympathy from other people.

Your actions placed the lives of many people in danger, including yours. During your chase, you could have hurt or killed innocent people, you could of killed yourself. Not too mention endandering the lives of the police officers who chased you.

I don't know you, or the specifics of your case, but assuming you don't end up in prison, the next time you get stopped, even if the cop is a complete @$$hole, think about your kids before you place other peoples lives in danger. If a cop is an @$$hole, you can file acomplaint with his/her supervisor. Please don't make another stupid mistake. And think about your kids, your actions that night may end up costing you your kids. I also apologize if sound like a dick, I just want you to really think about what happened and how much worse it could have been.

Sorry to hear the police treated you so badly. Next time if you want them to be nicer to you don't run from them. Last time I checked a 102 pound woman is more then capable of carrying and using a gun or other weapon. If you can't even find a scumbag attorney to take your case then you must be leaving something out of your story.

So, you have contacted more than one lawyer and no one wants to take the case?

Then there is a lot you have left out of your story. A LOT. Because if it happend the way you said it did, then lawyers would have JUMPED at the chance to help you sue the state.

All I can tell you is to try Legal Aid in your area. But you better think about your role in all this, because they won't help you either if they find out you're lying.

First of all if nobody wants to help you there go out of your district for your legal needs. Because what its sounds like the legal profession there doesn't want the hassle. What the state trooper did was criminal, but to press charges they keep care of their own. Again go out of district find a lawyer who isn't afraid of causing waves. If all else fails go to the state governor he'll open an investigation thats if he has the time. Don't give up on this the jacka** that did this shouldn't have the position he has now, he'll just do it to somebody else.

once you ran from the officer, he of course had no thought why, yet in his line of artwork if he did no longer use a "worst case scenario" ( because of the fact the inspiration for his strikes), failing to end you with stress might have led to deadly harm to himself or another harmless person. you probably did no longer difficult, yet once you "took off" I guess you weren't using .."like a sprint old woman". Whose baby, existence or property did you threaten once you ran? You screwed up. cope with it. And have confidence it or no longer, i'm sorry you're hurting.
