I heard in the past few days that Chicago's city council has come up with the idea of adding a $0.50 tax to each cartidge sold in the city. Although their motivations might be to disuade criminals and gangsters from violence in the city, as well as raising revenue, I have to agree with some that have suggested that this is something other governmental agencies are going to pick up on and adopt too. Just another ploy for the anti-gun crowd to blame yet again another inanimate object for the irresponsible actions of others. Cars kill far more than guns every year, , no one should be allowed to own a car? Makes about as much sense.

After you get back from stocking up on ammo from your local sporting goods store, tell me of your thoughts.

I shoplifted at TjMaxx and stole around 10 dollars worth of merchandise. This is my 3rd conviction and I was afraid what would happen in court. My first conviction they left me off and made me do community service. The second time also, but now my third time... I was scared and didn't know what to do. So I lied about most of my information. They fingerprinted me the third time, and now I feel like I shouldn't have lied at all. But the appearance ticket still shows my fake name, and I don't know what to do. Will they come after me and track me down using my fingerprints?

My friends son has been busted for stealing a car and has done alot of drugs and some really bad stuff. He got arrested and in the sherrif office he asks for his counsleor he's been seeing. The lady sees him and they come out and she says well non of this is his fault, he's said he was raped by his cousin(who is now 24) when he was 10 and all this bad behaviour is his way of acting out from that trauma. So the cousin says no way I never touched him and so I was wondering is there some physical test to prove if the boy was actually sodomized? Kid has no rules at home & been a troublemaker & out of control since a small boy. I had a friend in highschool who lied about her step dad fondling her and he went to prison for it and she didn't tell the truth till he had been in there for over 3 years. He had made lots of rules and she lied to get him out of mom/her life. Anyone know of test?

Hello, just got a ticket on the way home from work, late at night. Policeman was sitting with no lights in someones driveway and shot me with radar BEFORE I entered a 45 speed zone from a 55 speed zone. I was doing 60 prior to entering, his lights turned on just as a entered the 45 zone. I was nice with the officier who still decided to give me a ticket. Should I fight it?

my car was stolen and then they lit the car on fire and everything is destroyed inside and on the car - most likely no evidence.

evidence - car keys, and my wallet that were in the possesion of the suspect during the crime, these were thrown out of the car and laid in the grass next to a road overnight. a dog found the items and a woman took them home and put them in a plastic bag, after that these items have barley been touched.

there is a chance that suspect is still in possesion of stolen items such as subwoofers, amplifiers, and other things stolen from car.

what are my chances of getting this suspect convicted for this crime and finding evidence on wallet and keys?

I got a pulled over today for speeding but the police officer just gave me a warning. It was my first time getting pulled over. Can anyone tell me what that really means though? Do they keep track of those? Will anyone (like my insurance company) be told about it? Was that my get-out-of-jail-free card and if i get pulled over again I will definately get another ticket? I live in Indiana if that makes a difference. I just want to know if anything really bad is going to come out of this...like my parents finding out.

I have something going on with my phone- I have local calls only, with AT&T, and don't have long distance. I have had a couple of situations happen recently with family members, one was in a car wreck, the other had a very bad breakup and divorce looming- Can my phone line possibly be tapped without government knowledge or permission? I hear what amounts to a "small beep" followed by a "larger beep" quite often, and the person whom I am talking to doesn't hear it. It's dam scary. I haven't done anything wrong- has anyone ever heard of this sort of thing? I am really concerned, and am afraid to say anything on the phone, that might be misconstrued...I have thought about calling my phone carrier with this question, but they will probably blow me off, cause as most of us know, customer service seems to be a thing of the past....any ideas?

i spoke to the officer and told him that i saw the bottle but did not touch it. i was not working near it, but in the same room. the homeowner was in the room with me all but the first few minutes i was there. As far as i can tell, there is no evidence other than his word against mine. any info on what could happen would be greatly appreciated.

New york City has the largest amount of illegal weapons on the streets outside the third world yet weapons that arent even firearms are banned to regualr citizens. And also why is it illegal to not openly carry firearms? Nobody is going to try to commit a crime with a unconcealed weapon.

My buddy and I were driving to mammoth. He was on cruise control at 80mph, and I was right behind him. A CHP officer who was traveling on the other side of the freeway, stops, cuts across the highway, pulls up between us both and pulls us both over. He said that we were going 88mph. I asked him how he figured that out, and he says he eye balled us and then backed it up with Radar. Considering he was going the opposite way on the other side of the highway, how the heck did he eye ball us and then have time to get the radar gun on us? You think I have a case? Or at least fight the 88mph that he stated?

I was being watched by a deputy as I crossed the highway to drive down a county road. The road is not a busy road. I was doing nothing wrong at the time. About ten minutes up the road I noticed he was behind me with his lights on. He said I was speeding and
gave me a ticket. During which time he rudely asked me who I know in the area and why was I driving down that road. After he let me go he followed me to the location I was going and drove slowly by a couple of times until he could see that I was out of my car and in the house. I feel I did nothing wrong to warrant his rudeness, as
he claimed I was 7 mph over the speed limit, which by the way is not posted on this road. I feel I was harrassed by this deputy. I am only a teenager, was alone at the time going to take pictures for my art project.
