I got a pulled over today for speeding but the police officer just gave me a warning. It was my first time getting pulled over. Can anyone tell me what that really means though? Do they keep track of those? Will anyone (like my insurance company) be told about it? Was that my get-out-of-jail-free card and if i get pulled over again I will definately get another ticket? I live in Indiana if that makes a difference. I just want to know if anything really bad is going to come out of this...like my parents finding out.

A warning ticket is just what is says...a warning. There are no points accrued on your license. It's not sent in to the state. Your insurance company will not raise your premiums.

You were lucky though. Apparently the officer felt that you being stopped would have just as much effect on your future driving as a ticket would. Jennifer M is right. Don't take a warning lightly. Thank your lucky stars. You might want to tell your parents too. They will find out soon enough. My son had a lot of explaining to do when I went to back up a trooper on a traffic stop and my son was the driver. We, parents, find out everything. It may not be today, but sometime during the rest of your stay in our house we will find out. It's better to hear it from you than someone else.

Learn from your lesson. I have seen too many teenagers in serious accidents all due to speed. Please don't be one of them.

I have received a couple warnings, none of which has ever went on my driving record or been reported to my insurance company. I am not saying you shouldn't take it seriously though. Just because you got off with warning this time doesn't mean you will be so lucky next time. As for your parents finding out...Why don't you go ahead and tell them yourself? I bet they would take it alot better from you than somebody else. ( It's a small world, especially when it comes to information that you do not want others to find out about.)

By the way, if someone ever tries to convince you that law enforcement are assholes....REMEMBER the nice officer who only gave you a warning. They can be pretty damn cool sometimes.

street patrol and police shop a private checklist of warnings and that they gained't often provide you too many warnings in a 300 and sixty 5 days. It would not get stated to coverage, it supplies no factors on your utilising checklist and there are no longer financial fines. Its just about like it did no longer take place and the police who pulled over would desire to tell he scared you at cutting-edge so did no longer worry to grant you a cost ticket. Your mum and dad won't locate out except you tell them or somebody who observed you tells them. be careful and what ever you probably did to get pulled over, stop doing that...decelerate, use your alerts, fasten your seat belt, come to an entire quit at quit warning signs and lights fixtures. you would be ok yet its continually solid to stay a splash scared while ever you're utilising...it makes you greater careful and conscious. permit this be a warning to you.
