cops are often known for adding things to tickets if they do not like your attitude

Police do not have quotas. It seems unlikely that a policeman would make up that story. When you go to court you will have a chance to tell your story, but you better have a good reason why you think the cop added false information. If you are lying, the judge will know. Even if the information was added, it is still only a speeding ticket. If you didn't get an additional ticket for not having a plate, I wouldn't worry about it. Just pay the ticket and be done with it.

Yes we can..it is very true that we have quota's..or as they are referred to now "Quatus". Notice the trickery used here, just change a few letters of the law..and now your not breaking it any more.
We also get bonuses for having the most tickets wrote in a day, an hour, the year, etc. Last year City Council gave away a bass boat to the officer who wrote the most tickets in a year.
Currently our police union is trying to bargain with city hall to put in place a system were each officer would get a 3% commission on every ticket he/she wrote and the person paid their fines. Hopefully this goes well. I mean I really like all the free stuff I get for going out and writing someone a ticket. But around the holidays I could really just use the cold hard cash. I am so against re-gifting...and with how busy it gets around the holidays I often don't have time to take my gifts I win from writing tickets back to be exchanged at the stores.
This spring we are trying to get the legislature to pass laws that say if you own a dough nut shop than on duty officers will receive complimentary products, and that off duty officers will never have to pay a cover charge for entry to any type of adult entertainment venue.

Maybe in your state you need 2 plates? One in front one in back?

As for Quotas… Isn’t it interesting that my state created a law were most of the money collected from tickets by local authorities went to the state. After that the amount of officers waiting for speeders went down. Speed traps were no longer money makers. Towns with a population of 100 that had 10 cops now only have 2.

I like officers for the most part. They are there to do a job. I WISH they had quotas. Maybe more people would be alive today because of high speed related accidents.

No, an officer may not put false or incorrect information on your ticket.
Not have a license plate on your vehicle would have been another violation and another citation. Are you sure you are reading the citation right? Seems like an odd thing to write on a speeding ticket. Such information would not have any effect on the speeding charge.

First of all, Police Officers have no "quota". That is illegal. They might have "goals", but there is no such thing as a cop having a "quota". Most all police officers have patrol video cameras in their cars, so when you go to court you should request to see the tape. If you did indeed have plates on your car, you would be able to see it in the video. If you don't, then you're up **** creek without a paddle.

There are no quotas. They can write as many tickets as they like actually. They can stop every law breaker they see.

If the plates on your vehicle were not for that vehicle, even if bolted in place you had no plates. If they expired, and you took a sticker off your other car to make it look like they were not expired, you had no plates.

In my state we don't have quotas, but no, he can't make up false things. Did your plate not match the vehicle?

Ask any police officer and they will swear they do NOT have quotas..........................
Just be careful, with your driving, near the end of the month - they will stop you for ANYTHING whereas they won't any other time of the month. If you act nervous - then they think you're hiding something. Just obey the laws and ignore them and they'll leave you alone.
