This is really a situation for an attorney.

Maybe seek council immediately. Especially if time has elapsed.
If your life and lives of loved ones are at stake even after the act these are circumstances that may lead to you giving valued information to the arrest and capture of someone very dangerous.

Hopefully your council (attorney) will get you some kind of protection from future prosecution regarding the case.

Ask yourself this question. Would it look better to the cops, DA, and court system that you came freely with information VS being arrested when they finally do catch up to you?

In order to gain evidence against the offender the DA may have you contact them in regards with the crime. Loose lips may sink their ship. DO NOT try this by yourself.. Don't put yourself in HARMS WAY.

NOTE:
This is NOT legal advice. I am NOT an attorney or council of any type.

You will need a witness(or better several) to this. Don't go in front of the judge and claim that is why you did whatever it is you did. He will just laugh at you.

No but you better be able to prove that you were forced against your will.

No, however, you would have to prove that you had absolutely no other choice.
