In New Jersey, they are starting to put the owner's full address on the inspection sticker. Anyone at anytime can look at the address that belongs to the car. This, I believe, would only cause more violence since thieves would know where to find the car. If someone flips the bird at someone while driving, they could follow them and get the address of where they live and go and shoot them. With all the terrorist and everything else involving crime, I can't believe the stupidity of what the state is doing.

In Singapore, crimes punishable by hanging include illegal overstaying and attempted murder. What if a female commits these same crimes as a male? Is it not unfair and sexist when the convicted male gets caned while the female is spared from the rod?

I am currently attending college and about to receive my degree in Criminal Justice. I want to work for one of these agencies but dont now yet, DEA, AFT, FBI, CIA, ICE. My question to everyone but especially any agents on here is what can I do now as a college student to make myself more marketable, giving me an edge for when it comes time to hire. I know going to the academy and becoming a cop to get experience is going to be the first thing on your mind but besides that what clubs, events, jobs, etc. can I get into now that will give me pretty good recognition when my application is submited? Thanks for your help!

My niece has a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. They recently went to court and had proven that he was not the father of her baby. After court her ex-boyfriend his mother, sister and new girlfriend started calling her names. My niece did not respond because she was alone and didn't want these people to jump on her.

Were their any violations made there at all?

I told her to call the police last week when she was walking to the store and they threw eggs on her but she was too humiliated to do it. The restraining order is good untill June 2007.

Does she need to have proof that these actions occurred?

I've heard of some police officers asking for the IDs of all people riding in a vehicle if the driver is pulled over for speeding or other minor traffic infractions. Is this legal? Can they really do this or are they overstepping their jurisdiction? And if a police officer did this to me while I was riding in a car and s/he has no other probable cause, can he force me to give him my identification if I am not driving?

Question Details: My son died 12 years ago. His death was ruled a suicide and I've always felt the local police did not do a thorough investigation. My reasons would make this a long story, but basically I'm looking for help in finding a trustworthy forensics person or investigator that would just look at some photos perhaps.

For some reason it seemed that yesterday everyone was getting pulled over , well at least 2 other people I know in town, it seems like me and one of my other friends who got pulled over around the same place got the same ticket.... for running a yellow light? Is there a new law in oregon I don't know about or are the state troopers having to meet some kind of quota? of course this ticket is going to be contested but will I have a better chance of doing the trial under affidavit or just going to court, And if we go to court will he have to bring the recording even if it is against him? He stated on tape he felt it was a close call but felt I really should not have gone through that yellow light which would acually be helpful for me I think :) your thoughts please ... oh and the ticket for running a yellow light, my very first ticket! $242.00
