You could receive the same sentence, or jail time, I mean your friend. You are an accomplice, therefore, just a guilty as the one who committed the robbery, I mean your friend.

abettment to a case.

even if you are not physically involved, you have done an abettment to the robbery. It is regarded as "common intention".

In law, a person can be prosecuted just mainly on intention, even if no action is done. So long the intention is proven, the defendant cannot escape legal punishment.

As for the somebody you know, if initially he/she had no knowledge of the robbery intention, my advice is to turn in. It is better to be a prosecution witness rather than end up in jail.

If your friend commited a ribbery and got into your car afterward, then that person is not your friend. Assuming you were not in on the crime. When the "friend" gets caught, you might find yourself in some trouble too. You should be at the police station rignt now turning the "friend" in. And find some friends that won't have you asking these kinds of questions.

if your friend tells the court you were after the fact of the robbery and your friend gave you a ride the judge might give leniency to them, however you are no friend to have robbed some place and then get a ride from them. shame on you. friends dont do that to friends.

You are an accomplice. If you knew about it before and after the fact, you will not be charged as accomplice, you will be charged just as if you committed the robbery. If you only knew about it after the fact, you will recieve a lesser charge.

To answer your question, YOU are going to jail. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
