Okay, so this weird machine gets installed in my school and all other education related places by orders of the Puertorrican "Secretary of Education"...*yawn* So, this machine's got all the people using it crazy! Apparently, this machine requires the teacher (or other employee using it) to input a 6 digit code given to them by the people responsible for it's installation, AND requires them to place their finger on a scanner for FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION! These people have to go through the process of inputing their code and and scan their finger every morning, lunch period, and evening within a brief time limit AND after each person completes this process, the machine takes about one minute to process the information. With around thirty-something teachers and about twenty employees needed to do this in a period of 15-20 minutes! I'm asking because in the Puertorrican Goverment, a persons fingerprint has always been completely personal until this machine came up.

do a back ground check before they call you in for a interview? I passed my 1st and 2nd interview and the manager said that someone will call me back Friday if I pass my d/a test. I know I will pass it. But she didn't mention a criminal background check. I was arrested 3 years ago on a felony that was dropped to a misdemeanor and I had to do 6 six probation. I remember signing the consent at the 2nd interview but she said nothing about doing a back ground check. So I was wondering if Wal-Mart conducts the check before they call you in for a interview?

I can't understand why they were sued in the first place, fair use allows you to make 1 back up copy of anything legally. 321 studios was the first software that allowed you to copy DVD movies, it was even invented before DVD Shrink. Now their are about 100 DVD programs both free and being sold online and in stores, and their not being sued at all. I'm just carious, how come nobody else is being sued for the distribution of software that allows you to copy protected DVD's?

It can't be anything overly done, like abortion or the death penalty. It needs to be something recently in the news and also something i can pick a side on, since its a "persuasive" research paper.

In movies and TV shows there's always a few different people in the room when the criminal is being executed- obviously the executioner and the person being executed, but who else? I assume probably a prison official like the warden or something, but what about a coroner? Is that who's really around during a real life execution?

Yes. Random curiousity. Thank you Prison Break.

I live in a Condo and my Neighbor has a baby 5 months ago, and It screams all the time , but what is worse is that she allows it to cry from 12am to 5am and it is effecting my health and my work.I am not the only one who is upset about this.

REWIND.. 5 months ago....I happened to be doing my last load of laundry at 10:30pm and Suddenly the police were knocking at my door. They told me that my neighbor was complaining of excessive noise from my washing machine .The good thing is that my load was on spin (the loudest point) and they could clearly see and hear that this woman was abusing the police system. And they (the police) warned her about this...
She could not even come to the door and tell me that I was loud.

Now I have put up with this screaming for two weeks and have spoken with her about this and she Could care less.

What Should I do ? call the Police ? or Talk to her one more time?
I don't even think children are allowed in this building and she is breaking the rules? HELP

This might be a simplistic view. Has anyone consider making the work week shorter. I am willing to bet that this will lower crime. Parents can keep an eye out on their kids hopefully preventing them for associating themselves with criminal elements. Criminals will be willing to maybe go to work instead of committing crimes. What do you think Europe does it why cant we ?

The reason i am asking this question is the callcenter I am working in says that they have reason to believe that people are under influence whilst working and if that is suspected they will be tested and dismissed. Where I can understand that if someone is at work they should not be under the influence of drugs my question is if you are taking drugs in your own time outwith work can they sack you for that?

Specifically, I emailed questions to people and they emailed me their answers back. The interviewees were informed that the interviews were to be published in a newsletter. I would like to collect the interviews in a book and approach publishers, but I want to make sure of all my legal obligations first. If I do not own the copyright to these interviews, what do I need to do to obtain the copyright?

I was wondering if there were legal restrictions for the PURCHASE of gunpowder/black powder. There are obviously age restrictions on the purchase of guns, and the storing of gunpowder, but how about the purchase of gunpowder itself? Do you have to be 18 or 21?

I worked in the restaurant and when i came to pick my pay check my manager deducted 150$ claiming that some customers complained and asked for refund due to my service. I remember clear that i have not done anything to cause such huge complains and as the matter fact they left me good tips. What should I do in this case, where should I go or call to claim my money back. What are my rights as the employee.

obviously this is only a small section, but does it sound okay or could it be worded better?

Dr pervert has had a very detrimental on my psychological wellbeing. I am shocked as I never expected him to be capable of behaving in such a way. It was a huge breach of trust. His actions robbed me of my dignity and have left me feeling very degraded, vulnerable, exploited and dehumanized.

To this end, I would like this individual investigated and dealt with appropriately as without addressing his attitude and behaviour I believe that he will continue to act in a way that to me is a flagrant disregard to the standards we are entitled to expect from our medical practitioners. More importantly, I believe that he poses a potential danger to women, including, but not limited to women in his care.

I bought a pay and display ticket and displayed it properly. I got back to my car only to find a parking ticket. I grabbed the parking officer, and he said that i paid the wrong machine to pay to park on this bay. theres two machines, one is called queen st car park, and one is just queen st. I payed for a ticket on the queen st car park, which is clearly signed. The other roadside one was not clearly visable and hidden behind a lampost. I want some help on wording a letter of appeal to the parking people. Thanks!!

I am not from Georgia, but my mom is movin. Personnaly I think that the US is falling apart. Thank goodness for 2008 elections
