i just turned 16 two months ago, and a while ago i was arrested for aggrevated battery (felony), but i plead guilty and got it reduced to misdeamonor battery and i was sentenced with 20 hrs community service and i was placed under 12 months court supervision (which took affect 3 months ago), will the 12 months courts supervision effect me trying to get myself emancipated? thanks

Of course it will affect your chances of being emancipated. Judges are extremely reluctant to emancipate minors who have been in legal trouble because that’s an indication that they are not capable of behaving in an adult manner (ie following the laws) and they are in need of supervision. Don't expect to be granted emancipation (and it definitely isn't going to happen while you're under court supervision). And, even without the legal trouble issue, emancaption is *rarely* granted.

Emancipation is not easily obtained at any time. With a court supervision in place, I doubt it will happen at all. One of the things you need to be able to prove for emancipation is the ability to support yourself. You have shown that you cannot control yourself.
