I paid for a girl to have an abortion over 20 years ago. I remember at the time feeling like it was murder after we did it. I still feel that way. I vowed never to be a part of that again.

I still feel it's a choice that should not be mandated by laws. That's between you and God. Some of us have some 'splaining to do!

Avoiding the loaded question...

Simply because murder is defined by law. Law states that abortion is not murder by classification, but a medical procedure. Thus abortion is not murder in the sense of illegality or legality.

Most definitely it's a matter of personal choice. No one has the right to tell anyone what they can or cannot do with their own body. I believe this should be true of all laws that circumvent freedom of choice.
Just because some right wing cranks think it's murder, doesn't make it so. .

Bottom line: There is disagreement about the point at which life begins. Many believe life begins at conception while others believe it is later in the pregnancy, and yet others believe it is at birth.
The law does not recognize the idea that life begins at conception or even early in a pregnancy because the baby has not developed enough to potentially survive on its own.

Its not always for bad or selfish reasons. Some women have genes that don't allow them to experience normal pregnancy and these women may try to have kids and their bodies retaliate and the feotus's chances of survival are compromised.Doctors are meant to save lives and if terminating the pregnancy is the best available option, they need to do so or otherwise lose two precious lives instead. Those who do it for selfish reasons deserve to be punished

.There was a time when slavery was legal. That certainly didn't make it correct. We finally grew wise enough to see that as an atrocity.

Maybe someday the self proclaimed en-lighted liberals among us will finally feel the same about abortion and it will then be politically correct to call it exactly what it is - the taking of an innocent life,i.e. murder.

I don't agree with abortion per say but it's a matter of personal choice and rights. I can't say it isn't the best choice especially when people have children that they can't take care of.

I am very much against abortion. But I think it should be up to the individual states and not the federal government.
