and it charged me more b/c of a fee! what could/should i do? could i sue?

It depends on where the onlline gaming site is operating out of. I suspect it is out of the country and would be difficult to sue over since the law that governs it are most likely not U.S. laws. I suppose the amount of the check would also determine whether or not you should attempt any action. Legal action would likely be costly as well. It's also unlikely that you would be able to recover any money from a company who's check are bouncing anyway.

I would contact the company and ask them to resolve the issue. If they don't, tell as many people as you can what happened, and post it on the web if you can. You might have to consider the amount you lost as tuition to the school of hard knocks, but it would be nice to warn others of the pitfalls. Good luck.

Well, it depends on the law of your country.

In the UK or Canada, no, you can't sue. Gambling debts are "debts of honour only", and can't be enforced by a court.

In the US, no you can't because online gambling is illegal and courts won't enforce illegal debts.

In other countries, it will depend on local law. You'll almost certainly have to sue in the gaming site's country of registration, though.
