and not taking into account it may be more complicated than just changing your entire life in 5 minutes?

Mostly its cuz the Court don't care, but maybe if they cared more, then people would abide to the rulings better and not be tempted/forced to bend the rules in their attempts TO conform without throwing their entire lives into chaos to do it.

Has anyone ever made any claims about a private seller thru small claims court? How did you find the experience, was it relatively easy or did you find it traumatic?

Doesn't he know that Lead paint is toxic, especially if you are an old geezer with a bad ticker. Some old people just can't take a hint. Mal Brough likes the idea of returning to the white Australia policy where the natives are under the thumb of the white man. What a shock to find out our illustrious ex leader (Howard) admires Menzies, a real fan of the Empire and The Empire games. Doesn't he know that people from Australia no longer get royal titles, and he was so looking forward to be knighted by the Queen. Charles was also looking forward to getting the nod from mummy ! She may never relinquish the throne. Charles should know not to air the royal laundry in public, to have a mistress is par of the course, to make her your bride is just not cricket old chap.

Murder in most of countries is punished by capital punishment . but what makes it worse is that it is not the right of the family of the victim to decide if the killer should be excuted or not but the law makes it the right of the state . to carry the punishment or not .
in some Islamic countries they have what they call blood money . the family if they want can negotiate pardon for money . i think this kind of system is not bad if adopted . Michel Jackson bought his way out in child moestation , why couldn't for example O. J negotiate his way out instead of denial ? .at least we could have known what happened .

I work at a restaurant, and on Friday, the female companion of one of the cooks asked me if she could talk to me, so I led her outside. Once outside, she grabbed me by my arm and put me against the wall and got within six inches of my face and called me everything in the book, because she suspected me of fooling around with her boyfriend. Partway through her ranting, my supervisor came outside to where we were, and instead of telling her to back off, he stood there and watched until she finished. I feel slighted by the fact that someone in a position of authority allowed one of his employees to be assaulted and verbally abused by a non-employee, and he didn't do anything about it. What are my legal rights? I want to file a complaint, but I'm having trouble finding the laws that apply to this situation. Can anyone help me?

These people cannot and should not be forced to live like this any longer. There is no conclusive proof in any historical documentation that Palestine was t Hebrew land

Had Toni Vernelli gone ahead with her pregnancy ten years ago, she would know at first hand what it is like to cradle her own baby, to have a pair of innocent eyes gazing up at her with unconditional love, to feel a little hand slipping into hers - and a voice calling her Mummy.

But the very thought makes her shudder with horror.

Because when Toni terminated her pregnancy, she did so in the firm belief she was helping to save the planet.

See link - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/femail/article.html?in_article_id=495495&in_page_id=1879

Question - What are your thoughts ? and Would you do the same to " Save the Planet " ?

My 42yr old brother-in-law has been a serious drug addict (everything from heroin to over-the-counter drugs) since he was 10yrs old and has spent a number of years in jail for all sorts of crimes, but mainly drugs, theft, fraud and extortion. Altho he is brain-damaged from the drugs he is still very cunning when it comes to $$.
Since the death of his father he has manipulated his 89yr old mum (who has dementia). He drugs her so she is easier to handle, has convinced her to sign everything over to him and stopped us having contact with her. He sold their house and bought a cheaper one (now in his name) which gave him $380,000 in cash. This money and the house was supposed to be split between my b-i-l, my husband and our 2 children on their mother's death. Now he is saying that its all his and that my husband and children get nothing.
Are there any legal steps we can take to get my husband & children their share of the money? There is over $1m at stake here! We all live in Australia.

I am getting sued for a car accident. I didn't have insurance for that month because I couldn't afford one. I am a student and don't make that much money. Anyways I am in serious trouble and i am getting sued for a lot of money like half a million dollar. I am scared to death. The problem is I was struck from the back and the car that struck me stayed in the road, and another car came and struck him which is the 3rd car. Now the 3rd car is suing me because he had a serious injuries. during that time i was given a reckless driving ticket i went to court and i was never found guilty. In the police report it states that I slowed down abruptly. I never had a direct contact with 3rd car is there a technical matter as to why he can sue me? I can't afford a lawyer and I am freaking out, any suggestion will be appreciated

I fell on the school grounds on a patch of ice, there was no sand, gravel or salt down. There is this drain pipe that drains water onto a slooped sort of drive way.The school has made complaints for two years now and nothing has been done yet.I ruptured my achilles tendon and am in a cast for four to six months.then I will be in a big boot for who knows how long.Taking physo.for the next year or so.I can't get around so I bought a wheelchair and I have two bathrooms but one is down the basement and the other is upstairs further away.My bedroom is on the main floor. This has caused a big problem in our family,as I do all the cooking ,laundry, cleaning, shopping, etc.I am the cook at christmas time,I can't do my shopping.I can't even have a shower my tubs are too high to put my leg out so it won't get wet. What shall I do.

I quit a job with a large company 2 months ago. They have continued to direct deposit paychecks into my account. I am certain that this is not severance pay, vacation pay or anything like that - I only worked there a month. I was an hourly employee. I have not found another job as expected and I have used the money to live on. I may have signed something saying that they could reverse direct deposits that were incorrect, but I am not sure. I closed the checking account they were depositing the money into and my bank started putting it in my savings account. I don't want to contact them - because I dont have the money right now to give back to them. Other than request the money back, is there anything they can do? I know they can attempt to withdraw the money (its not there), but is there anything else?
