I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO MAD....I was at this womans house and happened to witness her very violent 2 1/2 year old kick, punch and slap this poor innocent helpless Shepard cross.
I immediately stood between the dog and out of contol uncontrolled child. The mother immediately said "I tried that before and it hasn't worked".
I said you are lucky your dog has not tried to defend it self.
and that you have obviously have not tried hard enough. She said that her child is usually very sweet.
I said you should be reported for animal cruelty...or something because it is usually people like you that blame the dog and have it killed for defending it self from the TORTURE.
She could care less.
Question is Should I call animal protection services....and report this so at the least it would be on record (FOR THE DOGS PROTECTION) In-case the dog bites the violent brat.so too teach it what it's mother should have.
Should I report her or speak with her again?

IF I WAS THE DOG I WOULD HAVE SNAPPED BY NOW.

OK, back in the middle of July, I went on a road trip to Texas from CA to go see my good friend. On the way there, I got a speeding ticket for going 82 MPH in a 70. I then payed the fine.

It's now 4 months later and I recently got ANOTHER speeding ticket in California.

This time, I was caught going 72 MPH in a 55.

I am 18 years old, been driving for less than a year. I never took training for my first ticket, as I was unsure of how to take care of it.

1. Is it too late to take care of the first one?
Can I take care of this second one with Traffic School?

2. I have to appear in Court for this second one. Should I contest the violation? If I decide to, I don't want a lawyer, I wish just to speak on my behalf, can I?

3. Is this going to show up as a point on my insurance?!?!?

3 weeks ago I was driving down I-15 with my husband just having a regular conversation. We just got back from a movie. I was smoking a cigarette and I ashed out the window like how many of us do? Anyway all of a sudden we are getting pulled over. Well when I ashed my cherry flew off and It was dark so the cop apparently saw this. I explained to him that when I ashed it flew off and I didn't mean for me to loose the cherry. He said regardless ashing out the window is still illegal in the state of california. So....I recieved the bill in the mail today! Guess how much 571.00!! Isn't that a lil ridiculous? So should I go to court and expain this again do you think I have a chance of at least reducing the fine? I am from Minnesota and I had no idea california had such a law that you can't even ash outside. I am in the middle of the mojave dessert there isn't anything that is going to burn anyway! lol

If a student tells a teacher about an instance where they were sexually harassed, what is the teacher required to do? Does it go to the principal who informs the authorities? Or how does that work?

It's a long story, but I am asking this question for one of my friends.

If the DA wants to allow the jury to consider a lighter sentence, but the defense wants to keep it either/or (hoping to increase the chance for an absolute acquittal), is the judge limitted in whether he can instruct the jury to consider the lesser sentence?

This is a felony case in Texas.

Thanx

And also, is it legal for a 15 year old and 18 year old to cuddle, provided that is all that happens. Also, what about kissing?

A few years ago my friend was a volunteer at a small local museum. While she was there a 40 y/o man, who was also a volunteer, flirted with her. He tried to stand right next to her all the time (her mom say him do this once). I know flirting isn't harassment, but after awhile he made jokes about removing her skirt and spanking her because she had made an innocent mistake. If she told a teacher about this would legal action get them anywhere whatsoever or just mess up everyone's lives? As far as we know he still volunteers at the museum and comes in contact with other children everyday.

3.shelly injured herself when she slipped and fell on a loose plank while walking down some steps that the hotel had repaired the day before. The night before, while entering the hotel, she had noticed that the steps were dangerous, and although she knew from her earlier stays at the hotel that another exit was available, she chose that morning to leave via the dangerous steps. The hotel was aware of the hazard, as one of the other guests who had fallen that night had reported his accident to the desk clerk then on duty. Still, there were no cautionary signs on the steps to warn of the danger, and they were not roped off or otherwise excluded from use. shelly brought an action in negligence against the hotel for injuries she sustained as a result of her fall. The hotel raised a defense. Decision?

i am thinking that this is contributory negligence but am not too sure..

I fullfilled my year lease and moved out. My roomate stayed in the house. I paid the deposit on my own and he did not pay any of it. After I left (the landlord didn't do a walkthru before i left) My roomate instead of putting his own deposit down did some fixing up around the house (Blinds, carpet cleaning) in place of his deposit. The landlord is not giving me my money back saying he used it all to fix up the house. None of my deposit wen't the fixing the house. He is saying it took more then my deposit to fix the house and he wants the rest of money. How is my situation? What do i do? He said he sent the letter of repairs to the address( the old address) so i never recieved it. He said he didn't have to send another one. I am in Florida

I realize most people know you're not supposed to microwave metal. And maybe the people most likely to toss foil in the microwave (children) can't read anyway. But why not just put a warning label since it could result in an explosion?

I've also posted a longer version of this question:

I was reading an article for my AP government class about guns. I see why so many people want to have the availability of a gun in case of an emergency. I also see the side that not having a gun in homes would prevent so many injuries, deaths and unwanted crimes. So... It would be sensible to know how many people actually use their guns to protect themselves during an emergency. Many people proclaim they want to keep it to be safe... But would they really use it? Many places have laws that require it to be locked or unloaded. When an emergency comes, a person won't have time to unlock it or load it... Isn't the answer just standing right out there in the open? Do we really need guns in our homes?
All opinions are accepted. I just want to see your views on this. It's pretty controversial.

It was July 22, 2007 when this man bumped into our car sideway while I was stopping at a red light. He was operating a commercial truck.
When the police came, he jumped down and had a talk with them first.
I was pregnant at the time and next to me was my drunken husband, resting in his passenger seat after quite a few bottle of Heineken. I was driving him home when the incident happened.

Immediately after the talk with the trucker, the officer came and asked me to tell him the truth. I told him that the truck driver bumped into me. The officer told me that the trucker said that when he walked down to see if we were okay and that me and my husband had switched seat. I told the officer that i was the one who drove. He did not believe me and he charged my husband with DWI and me with aiding & abeting.
I have been super busy with my newborn that I have not file a complaint against the officer yet. What should I say on the complaint form?
