Has anyone ever made any claims about a private seller thru small claims court? How did you find the experience, was it relatively easy or did you find it traumatic?

It is not traumatic at all. It's just a pain in the *** and might be quite time consuming.

You are probably going to find it is a time consuming process. In my jurisdicion, everyone must register by 9am, and they start hearing cases at 10am. You may be there the better part of the day.

This could very well be different in your county. You would need to ask this question to persons that actually went through the process at the same courthouse you plan on going through.

Claims are small but the cost of litigation is very high.
