Due to health and safety laws certain things that have been done for years are being stopped.
What things do you know of?
Do you agree they should be banned or should we be allowed to live as our parents and grandparents did?

REPRESENTATION! (couldn't put the whole word there)

We are being taxed, but yet NAFTA can come in and tell OUR elected officials what to do, and per NAFTA's "Laws" which DO supersede our Supreme court (don't believe me, it is right there in the legislation). But yet we don't elect the people who represent the US in either NAFTA, CAFTA, OR the SPP..How is this legal?

- His mom let his stepfather sign the birth certificate so his last name is Taylor.

- His biological father last name is Young.

-A DNA test was taken when my fiance was 14 and he is the biological father.

-He is not in contact with his father.

-My fiance's mother last name is currently Young which happens to be her mother's (my fiance's grandma) maiden name.

How much will it cost to change his last name from Taylor to Young? Do we have to do it the long way with the judge and his name in the paper? We live in California. He is over the age 21.

There was a man who rape a young gal in Lousianna. The issue in that case is if he will get the death pentality or not? There was a woman teacher who took her 13 year old student to mexico with her and there is no issue about the death penality with her. Why is there such a difference? Why are most pedophiles just assume to be males? Why is there such a stereotype on the Label?

I have been involved in few car "runs". These are small local events that take place every few months. They are not races or rallys, but more of a moving car show. We communicate on online forums and plan to meet at a predetermined location. We drive about 2 hours away to a road where we get to test our driving skills. The road is pretty challenging for unexperienced drivers, but we all just try to have a safe, good time.

Somehow I ended up planning the next run. Don't get me wrong, it isn't an organized/sanctioned event. By planning, I simply mean that I picked out a date and a meeting place and I post it on a forum. Then everyone on the forums says if they are planning on attending.

After a few weeks of checking the forums, I realized that we might have between 40-50 drivers. I am beginning to worry about the liability aspect of the run. Am I liable if someone decides to get stupid, or crashes their car? How can I protect myself against legal action? Can I be Sued?

Sitting at a red light, a drunk driver slammed into us at 35 mph, then fled the scene. An oficer sitting at the intersection ran him off the road and arrested him. Our car $3000 in damages, his totaled. He is charged with felony DUI hit and run

My families total medical was $26,000. Suspect has 4 DUIs 3 of which were outstanding. 6 months later he arrested. He is convicted on the DUI BEFORE ours and sentenced to 1 year in jail. We need a conviction in our case so we can sue for punitive damages. I call DA office to see when they will prosecute him in our case. They say is has been VL and he will not be prosecuted?
I get upset and ask to speak directly to DA, explain case to him, he apologizes but said the decision is final.

My question is this is pure BS, who can I go to from here and file a complaint? This guy almost killed our whole family and they are not going to do anything? We can't introduce punitive damages in an auto case unless he is convicted of a felony? Help! T

This guy has been stalking me, harassing me, and has recently threatened to kill me if I stop talking to him. He tells me I need to have sex with him and give him adderall (I have a prescription) or else he will "destroy my life." However, all of these threats have been made on the internet. He has not ever called me, only through facebook/myspace/AIM. I am going to the police tomorrow with the print outs of these internet conversations? Would they take me seriously if I had these conversations? If I filed charges against him would I not have a chance in hell since these print outs may not be admissable. Also, he is in the military. Could I make a separate complaint to the military? All I want is justice. He said some hateful and degrading things to me, describing vividly how he wants to have sex with me.....I was justice. If this is not harassment I don't know what is.....The problem is that I don't know if these print outs are enough. Please help!

Freedom of speech is the cornerstone of government oversight by the People and it is under constant attack from within by demagogues and the avaricious alike often hand in hand. Greed and religion just seem to have some sort of correlation bearing further critical review. Remember religion and god are two different things

If so, have any US casualties been reported from such a terrorist act [post 9/11]?

If not, why has no terrorist attack on US Soil happened post 9/11?

Note: it seems to me a single misguided person could do great damage at ANY populated area in the US [mall, office bld, concert, etc] It took the US Gov. alsmost 1 month to catch the DC area sniper a few yrs back...

Last, what civil rights are / have been taken away by the US Gov., to date in the name of home land security and anti terrorism? Wire taps, imprisonment w/o charges, video cameras at intersections, etc?

I have read that the longer the grandparent-grandchild relationship, the more likely visitation to grandparent will be granted.

If I never let my parent know that I now have a child, will it go against me in court that the grandparent wasn't aware of the grandchild, and therefore was not responsible for trying to make contact or having a relationship?

I am completely alienated from one of my parents, we do not speak and actually I never even met or heard from him until I was 14. Do you think there is even a slight chance that he would be able to file for grandparent visitation rights?
