About a year ago I was asked to deliver a wooden crate that had pooltable slate in it. By pure chance I found that it was irradiated. Now I am being asked to deliver the same type slate. I refused, however, now I am being harrassed and my job may be in jeapordy. Are my fears correct? Is this stuff harmful? Is it legal for me to haul it without hazmat endorsements? I hope someone out there has a good answer. Thanks

If you enter into a settlement agreement and as part of the settlement, the other party has 14 days to hand over things listed to be returned, and they don't. Under Wi. law can the court hold that party in breach of settlement even if its been considered settled and dismissed by the court?

I know holding pills with someone elses name is illegal. Would you look the other way if the pills were Thorazine? Also tell me if you've heard of this drug. I'm writing a story where one character is making sure the proper person takes his meds on time. If you haven't heard of this med, I think you'd be obligated to make an arrest. I may put the arrest in the story, too, if enough people haven't heard of this medicine.
Thorazine is for schizophrenia btw.

heres my sister's dilema.. her car company called and she post dated a check for her carpayment for friday the 9th of november. they gave her a confirmation number for the check to be cashed on the 9th. well they ended up running the check anyway regardless of what they agreed upon causing her account to be negative 400 dollars. can they do that? if you and them make an agreement for a post dated check how can they cash the check anyway? thats the reason why they ask to post date a check-the money wasnt gonna be in there until the 8th at midnight? do they have to return her her money?

My mom has cancer-like diseases and is very painfully ill and just pleaded guilty to a felony charge for breaking an entry and stealing a basket. Can her doctor still prescribe her all the pain-killers that she's been on for years or does her being a felon make it illegal for him to prescribe her narcotics?

Is it illegal in Tn for a manager of a bar to hold a private party (BYOB) on a Sunday in a dry county? No beer sold-- only watching sporting events, eating, and drinking beverages
bought elsewhere.

In my Ethics class we are discussing Pornography. We are not discussing the morality of it but if people should have a right to view and produce it. The problem with discussing it is that no one can seem to agree on what exactly porn is... Some of my classmates say any form of affection that is recorded and some others say it is nudity. Some say it has to do with the intend of the viewer and the producer... So I thought I'd get some feedback on people that aren't in the class to see what you guys think.

A co-worker of mine gets DVDs from a mail order rental chain. He normally burns them using software and then prints labels for them that he downloads from the web. He puts the DVDs back in the prepaid envelopes and sends them back. He sent off his envelope today and was putting away his "copy" disk and noticed he mailed the copy and kept the original. The mail person already came. What will happen?

Although this happened in Nicaragua, are we facing this if the conservatives manage to pass "no abortions" legislation?? Women are dying because of the government's hard line on "no abortions," even to save the life of the mother. Any comments??

At the current moment I am living with my boyfriend and his mom because my parents kicked me out. And truthfully, I am much better off with the two of them because I am much happier and plus my mom and I never met eye to eye either.
Basically, I am not planning on getting child support from him but I was just curious if I or any other person that gets things subsidized by the gov. My friends told me that I can and should, but I figured you couldn't.
At the moment I am deffintley not planning on taking him to court or any of that crap. It's a waste of time for me. And I don't have much time. I'm on WIC, and OCY helps a little bit I guess.

If I ever wanted to would I be able to collect child support from him?

Thanks.

I don'k know I personally feel that he should have gotten put in jail. It''s obveise he did it I don't really think it's fair that he can get his big buddies to go and threaten the judge and jury so he won't get the death sentence. I can't believe our justice system is so flaud that rich people can get away with anything. I am not just hatten on rich people pretty girls with big boobs and blonde hair get away with anything to. Again fluad. I mean was there murders and D.U.I's when the founding fathers were alive? I doubt it because if there was then don't you think there would be better laws and trials? But that is just my view tell me how you feel please.

I went scouting the local garage sales this past weekend. I finally found one I liked and the woman says it is not for sale.

Also I would like to know if I can add assult and battery to the suit as the woman who was having the "garage sale" punched me when I said "Well if you are not selling your garage, why didn't you list it in the paper as a "Garbage Sale"?"

Someone from our homeowners association (a legal corp) came to our door in the middle of a party and demanded payment of a 2 mo old past due bill. I said I needed to look at it when I had a moment, to verify. However he said he would just stand there until I gave him a check. Being in the middle of having company I had no choice but to pay this stranger and get on with the party.
