I know holding pills with someone elses name is illegal. Would you look the other way if the pills were Thorazine? Also tell me if you've heard of this drug. I'm writing a story where one character is making sure the proper person takes his meds on time. If you haven't heard of this med, I think you'd be obligated to make an arrest. I may put the arrest in the story, too, if enough people haven't heard of this medicine.
Thorazine is for schizophrenia btw.

Well if Thorazine was for Schizophrenia, then I would say "Well, I'd rather you take the medicine and keep yourself on track then to make yourself go crazy and kill someone with your car."

I would look the other way with it to tell you the truth, whatever is safer for the public, and it's citizens. But before I let you go, I would defenantly check it and try to see if it was illegal for you, and if it were illegal narcotics then you would be in jail.

EMPD has a good point about repremanding you to a hospital, but do you really want someone to be trapped in a mental institution? I would hate to see someone trapped in a mental institution even though they have the meds to take that keeps them out of there. See my point? I've seen what goes on in a mental institution, it's not fun. If you have the meds to take to keep you out of there, then why go to the institution? IDK Im honestly sorta 50/50 on this one here docs.

Confiscate and head to the hospital. If it is deemed that you truly have Schizophrenia then you would be remanded to the care of a clinical psychologist and or physchiatrist. Then, depending on the severity of your condition you would either be given your own prescription for the drug or you would be placed in a State run mental institution.

If you were seen by an officer with that, And he or she let you keep it and there is an official record of your interaction with them. And then you take the medicine and somehow it kills you. They will get blamed for your death because they didn't take it from you.

I do know what thorazine is because I am a Psychologist. There are several side effects from taking thorazine, and there are people that should not take it for other health reasons.

If your character is making sure that the meds are taken on time. Are they a nurse, or in some way in charge of the person's health. If so then they can receive permission to carry the medicine in order to give it to th person.
