It is in many other countries. It wasn't so bad when it was only focused around Guy Falwkes Night, but now it seems to go on forever. Is it too much?

Oh my God yes!!!!

Fireworks, which are explosives in a handy cardboard tube!....should only be sold to expert display people and not spotty, mono brows with a benefit cheque worth of fun in their bum bags.

i could help the banning of the sale of fireworks to the final public. there are a lot of organised reflects those days that that's common to observe fireworks in a secure ecosystem, I took my Grandchildren to a minimum of one on Saturday, grownup front value £2 and £one million for infants. The exhibit grew to become into far greater advantageous than something i could desire to have afforded on my very very own. Fireworks in this section in many circumstances finally end up interior the hands of young ones who enable them to off interior the line.

Yes. My 4 year old can't sleep at night because of fireworks going off in the street at all hours of the night. It's dangerous. Maybe you should be allowed to apply for a permit to buy them only from selected vetted sources and you should have to say what you need them for (party, bbq, wedding reception etc), and how much you want and they need to be used by a certain date too. It would be much safer and not impose on decent safe private use. Leave the big fireworks displays to councils and big organisations where they have to have adequate health and safety planning.

No.
There are laws in place that can be used against those that misuse fireworks.
By banning fireworks another band of public servants would be created (or an expansion of some existing government body.)
Those that enjoy the freedom of the seas around the coast of Gt.Britain would no longer be able to purchase "Flares;Rockets"which are extremely important in times of distress and for collision avoidance.

Fireworks are brilliant, just becuse the minority can't be sensible doesnt mean that we should be denied the right to have fireworks (although i support the 11 o'clock ban) my dad always traditionaly has fireworks on his birthday as do many other people. You dont get many fireworks around other than on bonfire night and new years eve anyway

No. People would only make their own. And they would make big ones!

Another point. Animals do not matter. People do.
I am sick and tired of people who go on about animals. These are the same people who foul our streets. It is cruel to keep animals in towns.

The guy in Murcia should go to Valencia, where I´m sure, the locals will probably burn him as a heretic! ( see Las Fallas on youtube and be amazed!)

I do I'm afraid, because they are becoming more and more disruptive. and dangerous in the wrong hands. When I was a child we could not buy fireworks., God help any child who tried! Nobody had bonfires or fireworks in their gardens, we had organized displays and they were wonderful. we had toffee apples, bobbing for apples, roast chestnuts, the works. They were only ever allowed to be used on bonfire night, and I don't remember them being as loud as they are these days. Good question to ask.

NO! This country is already becoming a police state! Fireworks are not dangerous it is just some of the idiots that use them. In the hand of responsible people they are great fun. Just the same with guns - they should be legalised so that criminal gangs can wipe each other out and decent people can protect their homes. guns or fireworks don't kill, hurt or irritate people - idiots in control of them do!

Yes most definitely. They get louder and louder each year and the poor animals are terrified. They should only be available for public displays. It's like living in a war zone and I am not a kill joy, but when I see yobs throwing them indiscriminately I do wonder how long it will be before a tragedy occurs.
