My mom has cancer-like diseases and is very painfully ill and just pleaded guilty to a felony charge for breaking an entry and stealing a basket. Can her doctor still prescribe her all the pain-killers that she's been on for years or does her being a felon make it illegal for him to prescribe her narcotics?

Simply being convicted of a felony does not prohibit a doctor from prescribing drugs. Even if she is required to provide a sample for drug testing a prescription is sufficient to keep her out of trouble.
