Do you need a license to be a legal agent in canada?

I want to be a paid legal agent in Ontario . Do I need a license to do this? I mean it is your right if you choose me over a lawyer.

Ok but it would be against the right od evryone if I could not choose who I want as representation. And I already represented my friend.
