has anyone evere had any luck changing a court order?, using this form JV-180 in CA. Case ex. My wife and I were ordered pay half of travel expenses for our son to see his dad in oklahoma, but the Judge was unaware that his dad owes over $11,000 in back child support. We dont have a problem with visitation but paying half of travel expenses when he owes so much money seems unfair. Any info would help...Thank You

I think guns should be illegal. In general, without guns, people won't die so much. I'm not gonna go into specifics, but crimes and mortality based on gun shootings will be less since it will be very hard to get them since they are illegal. Some say people kill people, not guns. However, I think if guns was less accessible from people, people won't kill people so much with guns. Also, England does it, or that's what my dad said.

Please, don't post hate answers, call my dad retarded, or any biased crap. Say your views on whether guns should be illegal or not, what's wrong with my theories, and how we can improve as society about guns.

Pharmacy. Shouldnt americans have the right to purchase any and all types of prescription meds that are FDA approved? Does mexico have huge problems with the fact that their drugstores sell medications that our government considers "controlled " substance. What gives the usa government the right to "controll" our prescription drug usage? And Why do they get to tell us that we cant buy certain pills overseas.. because it breaks the law for importing illegal and controlled substances. Even though its maybe just a canadian type "222" remember the days when you could get "cherachol" cough syrup. Great for calming a bad sore coug.h. Anyways any insight on this issue? ***just a lil rant**

There is a movie on Lifetime right now called "Guilt By Association" which has caused some discussion between my husband and I.
Basically, this lady was dating a guy who was a drug dealer and she didn't know he was. As soona s she found out he was, she dumped him. Then she got arrested for co-conspirating with drug trafficking, when in reality she had never touched drugs in her life. The court said that the man had bought her things with money he had gotten from drugs, connecting her to the crime, again she had no idea. They also said she took messages, but she thought they were just friends calling for him, not "customers." She got a longer prison sentence than any of the real criminals. She had to go to jail for 20 years, while some of the drug dealers only had to go for 8.
Basically, what we are not sure of is does this really happen to people? Is this really a law? Details please. Its scary to think that someone you trust could be breaking the law and YOU go to jail for it.

i was caught by "loss prevention" shoplifting, and they didn't press charges, but put my name and information in a database.

Do i have to tell a future employer that i shoplifted? because if they didn't press charges then its not on my record

and someone told me because it was at macy's, the database that they put me in was just for them, so if i shoplifted there again id get in a lot of trouble. Is that true?

All other non-automatic weapons that fire one bullet at a time are not banned while automatic weapons are.

Why is that? Don't they both have the same objectives (to do damages)?

I think automatic weapons should be perfectly legal.

The war on drugs is failing.
Plus we could profit from the taxing of Marijuana the same way we profit from taxing Tobacco.

The second amendment says the right to bear arms. However, I think it's flawed. If there's no gun at all, except in the army, things would be totally better.
First, there would be no mortality since all guns is taken away.
Second, no violence on TV and movies.
I think this prevents a lot of situations.

During a few drinks with my mates and a quick game of truth/dare, a dare was suggested for a girlfriend of mine to drive to the garage and back whilst being topless! (she was not drinking that night)

Does anyone know the legal situation of this?

Would it make a difference if it were night-time and not daytime?

Is it an arrestable offence?

Please help me out, as i feel there are going to be more games of truth/dare! LOL

There was a short maybe 15 car funeral line driving through red lights today, no police escort and no little flags or anything. It almost resulted in a serious car accident.
It made me think that, "well whose at fault?" You can understand how the person with the green light thought it was okay, You can understand the funeral person who is respecting the dead. In my opinion, no circumstance should you ever run a red light without proper sirens/alarms/escorts etc. Your thoughts.

I know what he expression means. To "take under advisement" means careful consideration. However, I do not know what the process means in court. Does this mean he is going to consider the issue on his own?........or.........Does it mean he is going to get advise from other Judges?......or Does it mean he will seek advise from higher courts?

I have 6 employees and wanted to get a pic of all so that I could use it in a commercial spot. This particular employee stood everyone up this morning by not showing up for the shoot. I rescheduled it for 1, and he stopped by the office while I was gone to lunch and my secretary explained to him the importance of him being here because we are a team unit. He was very rude to her and said, "What's he gonna do, fire me?" in front of several other employees. I did not email him his work for tomorrow and he called. I explained that the picture was mandantory and he needed to participate, or else bring his keys and personal items to work. He asked if I was firing him, and I left it that I assumed by his not participating that he was throwing in the towel, as he has been on a downward slump for several months bragging about how little he does to other employees and telling him that he hopes he gets fired so he can draw unemployment. What do you make of this as far as an unemployment claim?

I know I'll probably be judged pretty harshly for my following question, but I'll pose this question anyway. I'll give full details. A couple years ago, I was a knucklehead and got myself into a serious predicament, namely I was arrested in a drug raid. I was subsequently charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent(Class B Felony) and Use of a Firearm in a Control Substance Offense. Because of my lack of a criminal past, and me being young, and a good student, and having a decent lawyer; I plead to a Class D felony possession, and was sentenced to 3 years probation, which I completed successfully. I then petitioned the court to reduce the crime to a misdemeanor and the motion was granted. My question is even though this is my only crime, it's extremely serious. I was wondering if I had a shot at decent law school or am I finished? I'll be graduating soon, and that whole experience has been the reason for me wanting to go to law schoool? Even then will C&F laugh at my application?
