What if there are no leads and the shoplifter doesnt ever return to the place for about a week? Like stayin low and just stay out of sight for a while. No one around the area knows your name.

I'm talking specifically about a job where you are forced to treat people in a manner you find rude and impolite. I'm currently in a situation where I must choose between what I'm told to do, and what I feel is the right thing to do.

My son who has severe special needs and is non verbal rides the bus to school and is in a wheelchair. Today the bus driver tells me that on monday (yes 2 days ago) that my son completely tipped over in his chair and that the tie downs came out from the van floor. They checked him over and held his chair for the rest of the way in place (totally illegal) even though it was just a few minutes. He tipped right in schools parking lot they should have took him to school to be checked by a nurse. He has a seizure disorder and we think he hit his head. We now found out today they were not going to notify myself or the school but the other child on the bus was going to tell so they had to tell me and the school. They then gave there bus company a falsified report of what happend. They told them that when this happened that they returned my son to school to have him checked and had the problem fixed immediately when they did not. They risked my sons life. What would you do? Legal Rights? Help!!

Okay, I just saw the news about a food and drug agency head director of the people's republic of china was executed in may for taking bribes for fake drugs and food to be distributed on the market. Because of his greed, there were food poisoning ranging from dog food to toothpaste in America for the last few months. There were people that got hurt and animals died of tainted food and other things that came from China.
The Chinese government and the supreme court of China decided that the head director to be executed for "vile crimes that cause extreme harm to society".
Do you think that this is a fair sentence or not, for him?
Do you think that America should take back the bussiness and start making this products at home instead of outsourcing to other countries, even if it means slightly higher prices?
Do you think that America should do the same to congressmen in the US Congress that take bribes, or to Corporate executives like the ENRON case? What do you think?

I need to quit and leave my job ASAP. I owe my boss money, a couple grand. But there is no housing where I am, and my mom is sick..and I need to move 16 hours away.

We never made an contract with the loan. Its more a personal thing that I must pay back, because its the right thing to do clearly.

But what are my options? Could I just leave? Should I talk to him?

What could he do to me legally? The loans were written out to me as "bonuses". I am not asking because I want to be shady. I love my boss, and I want to do the right thing. I want to know my *** is covered though. Just in case, because my other boss is not as nice.

differently...I think people would not commit as many crimes if we would punsih them an eye for an eye.....and a tooth for a tooth. For instance you shoot someone than you get shot...you rape then you get raped...etc. People may look at commiting crimes differently.

I was crossing the border and I gave them my driver’s license and the border patrol started asking me all these weird history questions,. I did not understand what questions he was asking me and I told him I don’t know, and he said I had an accent so he took me to a few other border patrol officers and he gave them my drivers license. And they all started questioning me, like how long I lived in California, where was I born, what school and I’m going to, etc. I told them the truth and I told them I was born in California, and going to a community college and one of border patrol said I was lying and demanded that I tell him the truth of who I really am. He ask for my Social Security number and he look me up but he could not find my information. So after 15 min, he told me I can go.

I'm not talking about raiding a workplace, where the employer is required to keep paperwork on each employee. I'm talking about arresting and deporting individuals, sometimes from their homes. In the US, people aren't required to carry paperwork or ID to prove their legal status. So how do they find illegal immigrants, other than workplace raids?

Knowledgeable answers only, please. I'm not interested in your off the cuff speculaton; I can do that for myself.

Hello,

I am trying to purchase a property and am at the exchange stage.
Unfortunately there is a single mother with small children living in the property. A possession order has been served, which was ignored by the tenant. A bailiff's eviction date has now been set. I am really desperate to find out where I stand on this and whether or not I should cut my losses and move on...

My questions are:

1. Given that the tenant is likely to object to the warrant, how likely is it that a judge will allow her to stay at the property and for how long?

2. Do I have any rights or is there *anything* I can do to resolve this issue?

3. Do I have any rights in retrieving any monies lost from the vendor given the situation?

I would be _hugely_ grateful to anyone who has any experience or legal knowledge that can help me out of this dilema.

Thank you
