Do not know the exact law in your state...but in most it is an at will employment...they can fire you for ANYTHING

The answer, as you've been told, is yes, you can be fired for any NON-PROTECTED status reason. A protected status is if they fired you for being a woman, black, muslim or other EEOC class.

What is IRRELEVANT is arizona being a 'right to work' state. That phrase means ONLY that you do not have to join a union to get a job.

Also, you will hear 'At-Will' in trade with the above. And contrary to the old wives' tale, ALL STATES are at-will except for Montana and only in very extreme circumstances.

I don't know about Arizona but most contracts or other forms that you fill out will say somewhere in there that the company reserves the right to let you go or fire you without giving a reason. Unless of course you have tenure or it states in your contract somewhere that you have job security.

If Arizona is a right to work state, you have no recourse. The employment contract is mutual, and you, or they, can choose to end it at any time.

Yup. AZ is a right to work state, you have NO employment rights. Go Red states.
