I'm talking specifically about a job where you are forced to treat people in a manner you find rude and impolite. I'm currently in a situation where I must choose between what I'm told to do, and what I feel is the right thing to do.

Reminds of me of "thank you for smoking" movie. Everyone does immoral things for a mortgage payment. The moral of that amusing story was perhaps the world would be better if everyone rented, if everyone didn't feel they required as much material possessions. I guess what it comes down to is a capitalist society aloneis devoid of morals and compassion. Countries strive for the balance of being competitive, and not allowing unneccessary suffering.

Yes I was, and I refused, found a way to be nice with people while doing my job, and this got better results than my boss was able to get.

My soul is much more important to me than my job.

Get another job! It is better to be able to live with yourself than to accept money from people who have no morals!

It really is no choice at all. Either you go the low road and begin compromising what you believe, or take the high one!

Don't get down in the ditch with many others!

I think there are times that everyone must do as told, and not go by what they feel. Perhaps you can find another job, and then quit this one. Good Luck

Morals don't get you a house and car.
