I sold a puppy via internet. No contracts. She sent me a non refundable deposit of $160.00 and then a week later paid the balance to have the pup shiped. I took the money and bought the health cert, crate, shots and made the airline appointment and paid people to take the puppy up there. We agree'd to have the pup shiped to this one certon airport but by the time we got the balance needed to ship the temps exceeded the shiping limit. So we found a airlines that had air conditioned cargo but we have to go out of state to ship there (hence hired people to ship him) and i gave her the conformation # and told her where and when and because its a hour more drive she is refusing to take the puppy now and sue me cause i wont refund the whole 730.00 i have EXPENSES paid out of my own pocket to have him shiped and i explained this to her. to ship at this other airport its costing more. I offered her twice all of her shiping money back, or i will ship the puppy. She is refusing both. What can i do

My dad bought a dodge viper that had just passed an inspection by dodge, he crashed 3 days later at 30mph ;the car just lost control because of the poor weight positiong of the engin ( a design failure). He didn't suffer any great damage besides a totaled car and a month's worth of headaches. Is it possible for him to start a class action suing of DaimlerChrysler for product deficiency since this is one of the many times it has happened to viper owners?
If so, are there any lawyers interested in helping him do so?
Thank you

(like in the Patriot Act) or the guns we own?

Have you ever been seriously injured by a book? Which is the biggest public safety threat?

I'm not suggesting that we ban guns by any means, but it seems silly to monitor what we are reading. Especially when so many die from gun deaths.

"Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act allows the government to secretly request and obtain library records for large numbers of individuals without any reason to believe they are involved in illegal activity; and

WHEREAS, Section 505 of the USA PATRIOT Act permits the FBI to obtain electronic records from libraries with a National Security Letter without prior judicial oversight; and

WHEREAS, Such open-ended searches expose all library users to the search and seizure of their records and to the invasion of their privacy; and

WHEREAS, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Robert Mueller have told Congress that they are not interested in library records and, as recently as April 2005, that Section 215 has never been used to request library records; and

WHEREAS, A comprehensive study of the impact on the public of federal law-enforcement activities in America's libraries, "Impact and Analysis of Law Enforcement Activity in Academic and Public Libraries," found that federal law-enforcement officials have made numerous requests for reader records and other confidential library information

I find that attorneys are scum who will help others sue someone whether it is warranted or not or pursue a guilty plea even if they have doubt as long as they think they have a chance to win and make a buck. Isn't this really the equivalent of someone who would steal if they don't think they will get caught???Have you seen the pathetic personal injury attorneys just fishing for "customers". It is disgusting. Due to our litigous society, doctors are being forced from medicine due to skyrocketing insurance premiums. Doesn't anyone ever take responsibility for themselves anymore...why is everything someone elses fault. Example, a woman spills coffee on herself at a drive through and sues McDonalds
These are people that have basically given their souls to the devil yet they seem to feel as if they are in an esteemed profession...why is that?

A few days ago while @ Walmart we noticed that a man in an unmarked truck (with red police-like lights) on top was driving around in civilian clothes putting tickets on cars if they were parked incorrectly in a handicapped zone. Last night my mom was in a hurry to go to Walmart due to something important being left in there and accidentally didnt put her handicapped placard on the rearview mirror. When we came out an orange and white ticket was sitting on our windshield from the Municpal Court. This man was not a police man and had a normal truck and clothes? Is this legal for him to do this? And also, if my mom shows proof of her handicapped placard to the judge will he dismiss her ticket?

I do not think this is bad that she was "reassigned." Do I like her, No! however, I think it was the best for society and los Angeles. She went from 24 days in jail to 45 on house arrest, so she really did not has to spend longer with limited activities.
I work in juvinile corrections in a neighboring county and think this move was best. As a worker in a corrections facility, i understand the negative impact having her in the facility can have on the tone of the work environment. If you add this to the money and mental cost to dealing with the media being around the building, It cost society a lot less to move her. Now the media is outside her house. She will spend the next 40 says trapped and under a microscope. Every one who comes to her house will be noted. In the end she will punished plenty for a Suspended license probation violation. However, the workers at Lynwood will not!

Do you agree?

I sold my house and the loan was closed last week. I've been living in the house since the loan was closed, and have to be out by the 15th. Since the loan was closed and all the paperwork signed last week, the hot water heater went out.

Am I liable to have it replaced? I'm still living in the house, but legally, it is no longer mine.

I believe I was fired due to my pregnancy. They obviously fired me for different reason that I find not justifialble. I am in talks with the EEOC for a claim against my former employer and have made a compensation amount to be presented to them for acceptance/denial/counter offer. I am expected to have a tele-conference with my mediator and previous employer to settle on an amount. Should I have a lawyer present when this conference is done? I feel uncomfortable having a conference without legal advice.

I Work for this partcular company in another state back in 2005 and i left with verbal notice (i'm aware i should have given written) of two weeks when i found out i was moving back to Louisiana (hurricane katrina victim) anyway i applied for the same company Sat. here in Louisiana and they said that the store i worked at before has me listed as no eligible for rehire. now mind you i was a seasonal empolyee anyway and, i moved to go back to school. is that fair. i called to find out why but they said the person i need to talk to was not there and i shoudl call back 2mmrow. what should i do. i have no idea what the reason is and i don't think they will tell me why. i think it may be one of the supervisors i worked for there because she was mean and never really liked me. the olyl problem i ever had was not correctly checking a traveler's check because my job before we didn't accept them so i didn't know how people use them and they didn't train me on that.
