War. The word our country, our nation is revolving around. War on terror, War on Poverty, War on Illegal Immigration... War on Drugs.

This war on drugs is self-compounding. If the drug trade was regulated, you end the violence and corruption that the current market breeds. By declaring war, we create massive amounts of violence... and the battleground is on our streets.... lets face it, the users arent the ones who are out shooting each other... its the dealers.. stealing each others business. Civilian casualties by the dozen. Lets end this injustice and invasion of freedom by diplomatically CONTROLLING it. Prohibition is the most Victorian way of dealing with something. In this day and age, we must realize that we must control this situation by regulation and taxation. Put those billions of dollars into our childerens schools, rather than putting them in harms way.
eliminate the massive drug wars in mexico, make the business regulated also potentially cut down on illegal immigratio

I hate seeing hard working people get sued over idiotic things. And even companies, like the hot coffee mcdonalds thing, and people who fall down in stores and sue for 100,000's of dollars. I think its disgusting, Some people are so greedy they want something for free.

appropriate ways to handle an animal like this? The poor girl is still in the hospital and had to go under cosmetic surgery. She is only 7 years old!! and was abducted from her own home while her mom was sleeping.

All that pathetic loser said was that he was drunk and didn't know what he has done. See, I just don't buy that. Apparently he was drunk, but had time to "think" about putting on a mask and clime up their terrace to pick up the girl, took her somewhere, raped her and dropped her off by the apartment complex. What do you guys think that is the appropriate punishment for this dude?

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 16 minutes it took Christopher Newton to die once chemicals began flowing into his veins was the longest stretch that any of the state's inmates executed since 1999 has endured, an Associated Press review shows.

During that span Thursday — more than twice as long as usual, and 5 minutes longer than the state's previous longest on record — Newton's stomach heaved, his chin quivered and twitched, and his 6-foot, 265-pound body twice mildly convulsed within the restraints.

I tend to think playing in sports is more dangerous than driving without a seatbelt. So how come the law hasn't made it illegal to play sports yet?

There is a company trying to demand payment for a contract that has been voided and taken care of by the owner of that said company. The paperwork proving the contract is void has been faxed to the company's lawyer. The lawyer's office has now put us on "cease and desist." Does this mean he knows he has no case but will continue to have it on file that we owe money? I know very little about legal stuff, but I HAVE watched enough "Judge Judy" to know they have no leg to stand on. Thanks for any legal advice (free of charge, lol).

As a parent I have been staying in accommodation provided by Latch for parents of children suffering with cancer.
This week I have very sadly been subjected to a most distressing and disturbing incident. I have been treated in a very cruel and biased way with no sympathy or understanding for myself as a parent. I was in the kitchen having a private phone call with my son who could not hear me so I had to raise my voice to continue the conversation. Somebody complained about this but rather than discuss this with me and produce evidence the coordinator said that I am now banned from staying at the accommodation for one week with my family. Additionally the security guards have been put on alert to ensure that during this period I do not enter the parent’s accommodation. By not providing evidence they have by their actions shown a biased against my self and my family when I am the first person to help anybody in need. My name is *. I am an officer in *,CA through the * office.
On March 6, 2007 at approx 5:45am, the end of shift was approaching. A new officer, ***, who was to come in and relieve my co-worker,***, showed up. This was my first time meeting him and he was speaking about his previous mployer stating "my last employer was hard to work for" He was an Okey, Red Neck, White boy", He was a Slave- Driver, a White N****r" I am a White man and my wife is Black. My wife works with his wife and happened to tell her about the opening because she knew her husband was unemployed. Just before making these comments, He got out of his car and after I introduced myself, said to me "Oh, your the one whose wife helped me get the job" His comments offended me both because I am white and because my wife and my children are Black. As I mentioned before, our wives work together. Mr. ** is well aware of the race of my wife and myself. --- by the way after this, he was promoted,,I reported this 2 months ago.
