cause, you know, its safety, and anything that makes us safer should be the law?

I'm assuming you're being sarcastic. If not there's not been anything out there that shows this improves safety. Other then a media push by some industries to make it look like they're taking steps to be safe, when there's nothing backing it up.

A lot of the cars now days are manufactured with what they call "day time runners", which are the head lights remain on whenever the car is running.

I have a Grand Prix, and I have never turned on the lights since I bought it. The lights automatically come on daytime or night. But the daytime runners come on a lot of cars now days.

Also, in the state of WI, if one is using their windshield wipers, they must have their lights on as well when driving. So it is a step away. But what is the big deal? If it keeps you a little safer, is it really that huge of an issue?

In some states, you need to put them on if it's raining. If your wipers are on, your lights should be too.
