Have you seatbelt on, it will save your life.
If you get into a car crash and your car roles over like three times and you don't have a seat belt on; you’ll be banging your head all over the ceiling, windows, doors seats, etc...if you had a seat belt on, during this crash, you’ll avoid possible injures to your body. Head mostly.
Sports are not illegal, and sports are never going to be, because people playing sports know what they doing. They play for fun, hobby or have at least have some background on it. You don’t train to crash without your seatbelt on.

I've been playing sports and participating in rodeo - the only time I broke my arm was when I fell off of a fence.
Driving without a seatbelt or driving itself is definitely more dangerous than playing sports. Sure, there are a lot of injuries in both situations, but there is a reason why you've got to be a certain age to drive. You can play sports from the time you're two years old.
Why hasn't the law made it illegal to play sports?
WHAT THE HELL? Banning sports would be one of the most stupid laws they'd come up with.
I am an athlete. I have the heart of an athlete. You can't take that out of someone. Sports are a passion of millions of individuals.
If you don't like sports, don't do them, don't let your kids do them. Hell, don't let your kid ride a bike either 'cause he might fall and get a scrape.
Should walking be banned too? I mean, people slip and fall on ice and break their hips, what about eating? If there are no sports or athletic activities we really shouldn't eat because then we will have no ways to perform or lose weight.
This question is absurd.. And frankly, pisses me off.

Because very few people DIE from playing a sport. But quite a few die due to not wearing a seat belt.
Why do people have such an issue with a law mandating them having to wear a seat belt? If people used them in the first place, they wouldn't have to make a law, would they? People want to be able to drive faster, then they should accept the restrictions on that - which will be a law to wear a seat belt.
And by the way: I was 23, and a very good friend of mine was in an auto accident on the way home from work. She hit a car that turned in front of her, and awoke sideways in her front seat, still wearing her seat belt. When the officer assisted her out of the car, he told her that the only thing that saved her life was the seat belt. She had never been one that wore one, but for some reason, that night she put it on. The next day, I started wearing my seat belt religiously, and have ever since. I am now 33, and have yet to be in a vehicle without my seat belt on. If that little strap is going to save my @$$, then I am willing to take the five seconds and fasten it.

Absolutely, driving with no seatbelt is more dangerous.Someone Huge can run at you and hit you head on but it will feel nowhere near what you would feel if you were in a vehicle. Especially with no seatbelt. You are looking at getting hit with Steel, fiberglass, glass and the weight of whatever else they are hauling, charging down on you. That's a lot of weight. Plus the fuel is likely to blow and with the electrical system ,it's highly likely it will. Besides God, the only thing that saves you in a wreck is your safety equiptment. He appreciates all the help you want to give him.

Because people knowably take risks playing sports which is an enjoyable activity to play and watch. By requiring people to wear seat belts, they can still enjoy driving the same as before, but are now safer doing it, with little inconvenience. the more logical comparison is to compare the requirement of seat belt use, with the requirement to use a helmet in hockey.

I've been in FIVE car accidents. After you've been told by the cop that your head would have gone right through the window shield had you not worn a seatbelt, maybe you will understand.
