As a parent I have been staying in accommodation provided by Latch for parents of children suffering with cancer.
This week I have very sadly been subjected to a most distressing and disturbing incident. I have been treated in a very cruel and biased way with no sympathy or understanding for myself as a parent. I was in the kitchen having a private phone call with my son who could not hear me so I had to raise my voice to continue the conversation. Somebody complained about this but rather than discuss this with me and produce evidence the coordinator said that I am now banned from staying at the accommodation for one week with my family. Additionally the security guards have been put on alert to ensure that during this period I do not enter the parent’s accommodation. By not providing evidence they have by their actions shown a biased against my self and my family when I am the first person to help anybody in need. It seems there has been a misunderstanding here. The co-ordinator is not the ultimate authority and you should write to the CEO or Director of Latch setting out your complaint and asking for it to be investigated. Failing that, write to the chair.

it doesn't sound like you are giving all the facts. People don't throw others out simply because of a loud conversation they wee having unless the conversation was vulgar and presented a negative view about the establishment that they were attending. Furthermore, for security to be placed on notice of your presence provides that you were threatening when you were approached or else you have conducted yourself in a threatening manner in the recent past.

As for biased organizations, I don't feel that they should convey a discriminatory position if they are a non-profitable charity, especially if they receive funding from taxpayers.

By definition charities have to be biased inasmuch as you wouldn't expect the P.D.S.A. to be giving assistance to a person with cancer.
That said though, I would not expect any charity to discriminate against a person because of their race, creed or colour.
As the other's have suggested, there appears to be more to your tale than you are currently showing/telling as no caring organisation like Latch would ever treat anyone in the way you are saying you've been treated, for no good reason.
The charities rely heavily on public goodwill and it would not pay them to create a bad name for themselves.
