He was convicted of not having a perfect memory during the investigation of something that was not a crime according to the person that wrong the law that was allegedly broken. The prosecutor knew knew who 'leaked' the information months before Scooter Libby was questioned in the first place. In short, the only person that should have been tried for anything is the prosecutor.
