Susie puts an ad in the paper as follows: "$500 reward for the return of my calico cat." Johnny finds the cat and returns her to Susie, but Susie refuses to pay Johnny $500. What is the result if Johnny sues Susie for the money?

a. Because the ad was merely a solicitation of offers, there was no contract until Susie accepted Johnnies offer to find her cat, which she never did.
b. Johnny may not recover the money becasue he did not contact Susie before he began his search.
c. Because Johnny did not pay Susie to keep her offer open, Susie is free to revoke and need not pay Johnny anything.
d. The ad was an offer for a unilateral contract, which Johnny accepted by returning the cat. Susie is therefore bound to pay Johnny the $500.

A Missouri Voca Rehab worker tells me that if a person on SS Disability becomes self-employed, the individual would no longer be "disabled" if he or she worked more than 40 Hours Per Month. While I believe I can be productive 80 to 100 hours per month, I see no way I could ever afford insurance after Medicare. There must be more to know than this. Advise from specialists is what I need... like a disability lawyer or an SS expert... from Allsup in Belleville, IL for example.

Is there a certian web site for free that allows you to look up direct case laws?? For example "State v. Foster 109 Ohio St.3d 1, 2006-Ohio-856, 845 N.E.2d 470 " When I try to google it I come up with several of them but everyone I clicked on was just where other cases used it as an example. I can't seem to find the orginal case law. So any help would be great.

D.A.R.E has been around for about 20 years, is it working to prevent drug use in the youth of America? I'm not sure it is, seeing that the number of drugs being used hasnt decreased in decades. Why are we paying for a program that isn't working? D.A.R.E uses scare tactics when teaching about drugs. I remember hearing that marijuana causes severe brain damage, but studies show this to be false. Also it cause lung cancer, recent studies have also shown this so called "fact" to be false. Why are we allowing these programs to lie to the youth?

I hate bootleg movies. I'm very vocal about and as a result people always try to give me bootleg dvd's or when I'm at their homes for a visit after dinner or drinks they put one on television. It's annoying. It's like offering someone a drink after they tell you they don't drink. I hate bootleg movies. The quality is bad and it's destroying the movie industry and much of the money from bootleg go to fund terrorist activities in the middle east. Do you care? Why not?

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

This is probably the best e-mail I've seen in a long, long time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day...

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

My boyfriend has been sued by his former landlord for a total of $1360.00. So my boyfriend and I just finally paid the whole total amount off the other day. Now how to we go about getting the other roommates to pay us back for unpaid electric bills/cable and their share of the rent. We sent out letters informing that they all had a period of time before we take them to small claims court. Only one of the roommates were on the lease with my boyfriend the other two were just living there on verbal agreements. Is there not another way besides court??

My fiance recently filed his taxes. When he got his check back we found out that it was held for back child support. Which is great, but he didn't even know that his ex filed. We've tryed to contact her by e-mail to get an address, but she's given us 3 differant addresses in about a month. So we can't send his daughter anything, it keeps coming back to us. How do I find out were she filed so he knows what to pay each month & so that they don't take it out of his tax return?

At one time many public offices did not make you rich to hold it was an honor and a privelage to be in that postion. Now you could feed a starving country or help the homeless, better protect our borders, or educate our children on a stadard of world class by providing better classrooms supplies, better well paid teachers, and concern for something other than a deplomia that is just a piece of paper with the money spent in a short time by a person running for an office that makes them rich and capable of lying on a grand scale on everything from education to war and tax cuts that only benifit the people with the most money. This is shameful that a person can behave as many of our presidents have and still do & for life recieve the finest health care possible and our aged are ever day decieding if they can afford their Rx's. Many people are making just enough to not recieve any help with health care but can't afford Rx's after getting them.

Carrying a cell phone in a Maryland public school can face charges of up to a 2,500 dollar fine, in a private school it is the same, but in a private school you have to have it turned off in your bookbag, in a public school, no cell phones period, no matter who you are. Another punishment to having a cell phone in a maryland public school can get you 6 weeks in prison, on your second offense. Is this fair ? If you are above 21 dont answer I need a teens opinion!
