If it is a misdemeanor charge, it usually clears in 10 years. However, check with your local court to see what your jurisdiction does. If it is a felony, it stays. As for getting it reduced, you've already been convicted. It won't happen. Sealed of Expunged....that depends. It's VERY hard to do, and requires new evidence that basically clears you (DNA does NOT always work......even if it proves you didn't do it). For more information, contact an attorney. If you feel you were wrongly convicted, there is help for you. One of those resources is "The Innocence Project".

Only if you are a minor. You should have thought about this before you did the robbery. The record will be with you for a very long time. The type of jobs available to you are limited to manual labor types, like landscape, building trade, etc. Consider taking one of these jobs, keep your nose clean and in time, you can overwrite the conviction, but you can't erase it. You have been convicted. Reversing your conviction is hard to do.

fairly no longer! An corporation has a accountability to furnish a secure workplace for all workers and has a accountability to vendors/shareholders to mitigate disadvantages of loss. for that reason, a criminal heritage verify is perfect to keep violent persons faraway from workers and shoppers, and to keep thieves faraway from resources. As a manager, i do no longer care if an applicant has a record if the infraction could haven't any touching on the workplace. yet, if someone has such unfavorable judgment that their habit warranted a conviction, they does no longer be welcomed in this place of work till that they had shown, via years of solid judgment and behaviour, that they are often depended on back.
