Yes, every drunk driver needs rehab. Why ? Because in every state of this Nation, it is a Privilege to operate a vehicle. We are given a Privilege to drive and it requires full responsibility. When we are issued the license, we take on the Privilege of responsibility. When we violate these privileges then we loose. Many innocent people have been killed from drunk drivers. I have never been arrested or guilty of drunk driving, but I have seen hundreds hauled into the County Jail. Not a nice sight. The women are the worst. Laws are becoming stiffer in regards to the drunk drivers. But some continue to ignore the law and many have been charged three times. Three times and your out. Then to suffer the fact of what they have done wrong. Prison is the next step.

Yes, I think that it should be manditory for them to be put into rehab. Most people that get a DUI don't only do it one time, they are out there all the time and some think that they are invincible, I think that they only think about hurting theirselves and not the other drivers on the road.
I was hit at an intersection by a drunk driver 5 years ago, and got 200 stitches in my face and fractured my knees. I was lucky in that situation, but some other people haven't been near as lucky.

No, I do not. Rehab is not shown to actually help. Also, the state would have to pay for that rehab, not the drunk driver. That tax money could be used instead to educate kids in schools, etc. It could also be used to teach those kids how to find other forms of entertainment that don't involve alcohol.

I think so. Contrary to popular belief I feel that DUI is one of the worst crimes. In order for you to have fun you choose to endanger the lives of others.

First...you go to a bar or other place to buy alcohol.

Second...you drink until you get drunk...choosing to do so

Third...in an intoxicated state you decide to drive home

Fourth...you get lucky and get home, you get arrested, or you kill someone.

To drink knowing you will drive is to say you have no regard for other people's lives....rehab or langer jail time is necessary.

No way. anyone who drinks at all can get a DUI; that doesn't mean they're an alcoholic. In fact, most DUI arrests are not problem drinkers. why should they waste thier time in something superfolous and unproven.
