Hi, I'm 16 years old and in high school. In late october of 2006 i was caught with 3 tablets of ecstasy in the school. i was arrested and went before a judge. i agreed to waive my right to a speedy trial and they delayed my trial until i turn 17, and if i stay out of trouble until then, the charges go away.

the reason i'm looking for advise is that a couple days ago i learned that the school had contacted several of my friends' parents and told them that i was selling ecstasy in the school. now i'm finding out that parents of people i don't even know have been contacted by the school. bear in mind that i have not been convicted of anything, and there is no proof that i was ever selling anything. Plus i'm a minor and my record is not supposed to be public info.

do i have grounds to sue the school? it seems like since i'm a minor, nothing i do should become public knowlege like this.

thanks for your help

In the state of Missouri when you turn 17 isn't it true that you can move out of your home and move in with somebody else or out on your own? If you have any other information about laws related to this please tell me.
Thank you.

Don't get me wrong, it seems right to punish people for crime.

But no-one is perfect.

Why do people always backtrack & lie when it comes their time to do the time for their crime?

What I mean is, I have seen police officers who are doing illegal things, but they go out to arrest "criminals" even while they do just as wrong or perhaps even worse.

I have actually seen a few po-po doing worse! What gives? I am not here to condemn people, but how can they be so hypocritical?

Can they really serve punishment to others being they are in the wrong as well?

Why is it always "right" to do the crime, do the time..., unless they are the ones having to serve for their crime?

This does not seem right to me.

I recently adopted a pet out to a new home and obtained a check for the $75 adoption fee. I just found out that the check was returned to my credit union marked as "inusufficient funds". The money is not that big a deal, but it is the prinicpal as I took that money in good faith. I have two questions, first if the person who gave me the check does not respond to my emails and request to pay ( I have no phone number, but I do know where she works and have address from her check) , what I can I do the recover the money? Second, my credit union charged me $25 for the check being returned, why should I be charged for that?

I received a couple of speeding tickets and took them to a lawyer in Missouri. I paid him to go to court to have them "taken care of" and received a receipt of my payment. The lawyer apparently skipped out on his duties and now i have a couple of warrants out for my arrest. Today I received a citation for a taillight being out and the officer took my liscense. Im assuming when I go to court for this I will be arrested. What are my options? Can i just pay the old fines to get rid of the warrants or is there another way I will have to go about this? Any advice from lawyers as well as citizens who have been in similar situations would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I see Lawyers -congressman--Senators and poitically ellected officials found guilty of crimes and servetime in jail and they still collect their pensions and keep their benefits. ?? Meanwhile if a police officer does the same he is stripped of his pension and benefits . I am refering to the same type of crime and same length of time involved in it. Could this be because politicians get to pass the lawas that benefit them?????
