ok, first of all, pro-choice does NOT mean pro-abortion. i'm pro-choice, and while i don't like the idea of getting an abortion, i recognize that in some situations it is necessary to prevent child abuse or neglect, and that the government cannot legislate what a woman can do with her own body. i think abortion should be done as soon as possible but only as a last resort. i would much prefer that people be more educated and receive better access to birth control and the morning after pill or give their child up for adoption rather than going out and getting an abortion and i do think that people should be responsible for their actions but not at the expense of the child. furthermore, i know several young women whose well-being would be at stake if their parents found out they were pregnant- they would be AT LEAST yelled at and thrown out. this is dangerous for the mother and the baby. the bottom line is, i wish people would learn to be more responsible so that abortions wouldn't be necessary.

I am only totally for abortion if it is to save the life of the mother. The rub there is who makes that decision, since it can take place anywhere up to birth.
I am somewhat for abortion if the fetus is so deformed it is unlikely to have a normal life. That seems more along the personal choice route though.
I am pretty much against it for anything else, which leads to the obvious question:
If a woman does not wish to raise a child you mandated she should have, how do YOU intend that child should be taken care of through age 18? It just became your responsibility you know.

If you're pro choice then all you are saying is that the decision is no one's business but the mother's. You are not saying that it's OK to kill or that given the choice, you would choose abortion.
It's the same thing if you support a country that has the death penalty....it doesn't make you a killer.
You might want to rephrase your question.

you're not killing a baby....up until around the third month, fetuses don't have a nervous system...they are not conscious or self aware yet...
i am pro-choice and i do not believe that it is the governments right to outlaw something on a religious basis...i think it should be controlled so that the same person is not getting an abortion every month, but i do believe it is the woman's choice.

I don't think that it's a pro-life or pro-choice debate. I think it's more of a life decision sometimes situations happen that you can't control should a child have to suffer for the rest of it's life because of your mistake. I don't know any women who have had an abortion but I know plenty who feel they are not ready to be responsible for another life for the rest of their lives, because being a parent is a for life responsibility.

I am pro-choice, but i do disagree with the assertion that a fetus in the 1st trimester isn't a baby. I disagree with both sides of the argument.
If i were a woman and had a baby, i wouldn't consider an abortion, but at the same time i wouldn't want to impose my beliefs on another person.
Why judge people that get abortions anyway...isnt that reserved for god?

You know...if you wish to get into pro-life/pro-choice debates, you should consider learning how to spell pregnant (not pregnate) first to give yourself some credibility in what you're trying to say.

I do believe in the right to choose. I shouldn't have to justify that to anyone. I have never had an abortion nor do I know anyone that has, but it's a decision that they would have to live with.

it's a bleeding heart liberal thing. if a fetus isn't a person then it is still ok for a crack ho or a typical female to smoke, drink alcohol and caffeine, pot etc while pregnant and it don't hurt nobody because a fetus is a nobody
