I think cigarettes and alcohol are legal because only a certain number of people can get rich from their sales. When you have drugs like weed, cocaine, herione, etc anyone can get rich selling them but only a few people/companies can make their own cigarettes and alcohol. I just think the government does not want people easily getting rich. They can talk about how certain drugs are illegal for health and safety. But to me cigarettes and alcohol ar e the most abused drugs because their legal. Look at how people die from smoking and drunk driving plus the stupid things people do when their drunk . Also look at how cigarettes and alcohol damage the body in the long run and someone please tell me how they are not drugs. I personally think from a fair point of view make all drugs legal or illegal dont have any exceptions.

It's a retail store that is doing this. I'm not having this problem but a friend of mine who works at the same place is having this scheduling issue. Isn't it a law that an employee must work a 4-hour work shift? Please advise if you know the answer to this. Thanks.

Please give a brief list of things that are illegal in your country that you think are legal in other countries. (Not universally illegal things like murder, rape, and theft.)

The case in point has to do with a DA in Wisconsin who is guilty of nonfeasance in office. Would this be grounds enough to begin impeachment proceedings?

Today I was trying to get a jump for my car after my battery died from leaving the head lights on. Well anyways, I had called my friend to see if he could help me. So he walked to my work and than he was going to walk and get jumper cables. Well someone had offered to jump my car. A few seconds later law enforcement pulled up. Questioned me and my friend and said someone had noticed the car was sitting there for 3 days which wasn't true. Questioned me and my friend and than after I went into my job an investigator talked to me with my boss present. Asking me if him and I had any felonys or were under the influence of drugs and if we were trying to rip people off. C'mon I was trying to jump my car. Now note my friend is a black man and this is a town of 2,000 or so. Then they talk about how if someone doesn't have a job that they are concerned and that they'll be trouble. I'm curious about the whole legal thing. Could a law suit be filed?

Here is the deal. I have a sports video tape that I am sure is copyrighted somewhere along the way. I think I could get bookoo bucks for this if I sold it. However, i do not want to end up Bubba's roommate at the State Pen! If I sell another item and give the video away free is that breaking copyright law? Any help would be appreciated

I know many people who take drugs (usualy quite soft drugs), I myself don't even smoke tobacco, but I believe things would be better if recreational drugs were made legal and could be bought from a drug store. At the moment the criminal element is benefiting from the fact that drugs are illegal. It seems to me that the fact that drugs are illegal doesn't seem to stop anyone from taking them who wants to take them, it may even glamerize the drugs. If drugs like canabis or even cocaine were avaliable from drug stores, the government could control the industry much better. The drugs could contain clear warnings, and the drugs could be taxed (to help the government who have to pay from the drug problem in society). Their strength (or weakness) of active ingedents could clearly be labelled, and everything would be far less risky, the chaotic and dangerous trade in drugs at the moment could be made much safer. Obviously there should be a age limit on the buying of the drugs. What do u think?

This past weekend I was pulled over one mile from a bar for "swerving." After passing a field sobriety test, I failed a breathalyzer blowing .08 which is the limit in Indiana. I was never asked for my registration or proof of insurance. I was charged with Operation While Intoxicated. This is my first offense; I have never been in trouble before. Do I need to get a lawyer in order to keep my license? Will I have fines, probation, or alcohol classes? Any information on how to clear my record?
