I have custody of my 2 children and my ex-husband only gets them during summer vacation. It is not in our divorce papers that he gets to claim 1 of them. But told me if he didnt he would press charges through you. Is he able to claim them without a court order or can I claim them since I am the one taking care of them financially wise. How do I go about doing this..He lives in Louisiana and I live in Arkansas. Please help me on this so I can file my taxes.

That's all that Scooter Libby's charged with.

What's the opinion on having to have a license to have children? People are required to have a license nowadays for just about anything but the most important thing in life - raise children - does not require one. They should make it a law that in the event of a pregnancy both parents should be forced to undergo psyciatric evaluation, very strict schooling and other various seminars to make sure that they are fit parents. Adoptive parents have to undergo a lot of evaluations but natural parents are allowed to have tons of babies and nobody cares if they are fit to even be a parent or not. I think that requiring a "baby license" could possibly help control child abuse, neglect, homelessness etc.

My neighbor is totally disabled and she has received a bill from a dentist saying that she has to pay $400 she has no other income but disability SSI. They already turned it into a collection agency. She told them when they did the work not to do anything that wasnt covered by her medical card. (But it seems they did do work that was not covered). Now they tell her she has to pay. Her Sister said she cannot be sued as she is on total disability Im thinking she can. Appreciate any help...thanks

I have a question related to an job opportunity. 3 months ago I was hired in a Serious Institution . I had three various interviews ....(three days from 10 a.m to 5 p.m ). After that I recieved an e-mail...which contained the information that I'm officialy hired. And told me that I had to get my medical certificate. Ok I spend plus two days on hospital to make the tests. After month an a half they invited me to the Security Interview.
And after three months ....they didn't call me yet....and when I did they told me that they have technical problems of this project in which I was hired...and maybe I won't be hired.
During this time I lost three job opportuinities.
My question :I want to know about my rights. I have an document who says that I'm officialy hired...and after e certain peroid...they told me that probably won't hire me.
How to solve this...I have to say that I can't manage money for attorney,so is there any institution to protect my rights? thnx.

I have a problem in my workplace where 1 person was continually calling me "Porky." I told that person i would report them if they carried on. That was 3 weeks ago.

This week it has started again, and his workmate has now started to do it as well. His workmate also today went in my bag and took out my paper without asking and left it on the table.

I told them to stop and that i would report them to my supervisor. They just laughed and said "go on then."

I went to my supervisor and have made an official complaint about them and said that if it happens again i will seek legal advice.

Have you got any advice for me? Is there any further action i can take.

My friends are constantly being harrassed and threatened by orthodox fundamentalists, recently, since the world witnessed the Zeus ritual in Athens, some of my friends have been very very upset by abuse launched at them, so much that they have asked me to help. No EU laws, pamphlets or high sounding adjudications seem to work, as the assailant groups, which are not officially organised have unspoken church and government moral support in their actions. What can I do to help them?

i have a friend (NO! its not me) who is getting a little too close to her doctor. he is a PHD psychologists and is seeing her for depression and help with her out of control son. they have developed a friendship and now she wants to divorce her husband saying she was never in love with him! this doctor is into the "hollistic" theory and is a regular hippy. in fact, he is a piligamist with two wifes and is about to have a third this summer. my friend thinks this guy walks on water and is her savior. she spends weekend over there rather than at home with her husband. they have barbeques, drink together, have parties, etc. she spent the holidays with their family instead of her own!!!! i think she is being brainwashed by a "jim jones" wannabe cult leader and he is detroying her life rather than helping her. my gut tells me he has a hidden agenda. where can i find laws on ethically correct practice for doctors? any websites? none of this sounds right and i need proof that it isnt .

my hubby works 48-60 hrs a week and is on salary.. someone told us that he can only be on salary if he is a supervisor (which he isn't.) on his paystub he gets each week it says he works 40 hrs even tho he works much more. when he goes to his boss , he says that if they just paid him for his hours and overtime , the company would go broke.. my hubby has been at this job for 6 yrs and has a love/hate relationship with them.. he make semi good money (around 50,000 yr) and GREAT benefits. is it against the law what they are doing? this is a big company with big contracts (million$$ contracts) Does anyone know if is is true that only supervisors can get salary? if it is true what can we do about it?

We've heard the pope threatening to withhold the sacrament from those politicians that don't vote in accordance with Catholic beliefs. Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell have both called on Evangelical Christians to "take back America" by electing leaders who promise to vote on social issues based on Evangelical beliefs.

Is this not a direct violation of their oath of office, in which they swear to uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and represent all members of their constituency- not just those that share their religious beliefs? Is a person that is incapable of serving the public by voting on an issue based on the law as interpreted by our court system, rather than popular opinion and personal beliefs, not morally obligated to bypass public service?
