I have a question related to an job opportunity. 3 months ago I was hired in a Serious Institution . I had three various interviews ....(three days from 10 a.m to 5 p.m ). After that I recieved an e-mail...which contained the information that I'm officialy hired. And told me that I had to get my medical certificate. Ok I spend plus two days on hospital to make the tests. After month an a half they invited me to the Security Interview.
And after three months ....they didn't call me yet....and when I did they told me that they have technical problems of this project in which I was hired...and maybe I won't be hired.
During this time I lost three job opportuinities.
My question :I want to know about my rights. I have an document who says that I'm officialy hired...and after e certain peroid...they told me that probably won't hire me.
How to solve this...I have to say that I can't manage money for attorney,so is there any institution to protect my rights? thnx.

You don't have any "rights" to a job unfortunately. Consider it a lesson learned. When job hunting, never stop searching/interviewing until a job is a certain thing. An "email" is not official. A signed letter is the real deal. Really, there is no recourse here unless the company specifically promised compensation for the medical tests.

I am not a attorney. However.

I do not think a email is a offical offer of employment. I could be wrong.

In the email offer letter that you have does it say anything AT ALL
about your employment being contingent on your ability to get a security clearance. I am only asking because you went to a security interview.

What in gods name where they testing you for? Two days worth of tests for a job?

Why did you not start to wonder why you were not being paid a long time before 3 monts?

Good Luck. But the whole thing sounds kind of strange. Is it possible that you misunderstood their meaning.

Call them back up and ask to speak with the manager of Human Resources. You should be able to get a clear answer out of this person.

Good luck

Unfortunately, neither you nor the potential employer signed a contract regarding your hire. No employer is required to hire you under any circumstances.

Why have you waited three months for this to resolve? Even more to the point, why did you even wait a month and a half for the security interview? There has to be some initiative and responsibility on your part too.
