im 23, a guy.... i was whipped on my back, with a belt or something. no shirt..... anyone else this happen to? or what happened to u?

What's even more bizarre is the fact that, if a woman just gave birth to a baby and then, the next day, she killed him or her, she would be arrested and charged with murder. Yet, if she did the same thing only months earlier, she would not be arrested and charged with murder!

Now, if I were to stab a pregnant woman in the stomach and kill her and the unborn child, I'd be arrested and charged with double homicide. Yet, this same woman can kill that unborn child and she isn't arrested or charged with homicide!

In the Scott Peterson case, he was found guilty of murdering not only his wife Lacy, but their unborn child Conner. However, in the United States, if Lacy was the one who murdered her own unborn baby, a.k.a. abortion, she would not have been arrested and charged with murder. Why is that?

And please don't use the utterly worthless "It's her choice because it's her body" defense because you can't have it both ways!

I have a friend in Texas and he invited a long time friend (who is 17) that he met over the internet to his hotel. She went willingly as they were talking about this for a long time. However, this was done without the consent of the parents. Now the parents are threatening to file charges against him, but what law did he break? I'd like to help him out here...was it enticement of a minor? Any help appreciated, thanks.

At the advise of my lawyer I am demanding that the kennel compensate me. The compensation would include the kennel fees that I paid, the amount of the adoption (which took place last may), and other fees that were acquired as a result of the boarders negligence. The death occured over the Thanksgiving holiday 2006. There is no way for me to put an amount on my dog so I chose to use the aoption amount as part of the compensation. My lawyer stated that I could possibly get some punitive damage compensation. Anything above the kennel fees will be donated to the local dog pound/humane society. I just have no idea what to ask for. I can file up to $3000 in small claims court, if it should go that far. If they agree to pay me what I am asking for then I will not go to small claims and punitive damages will not be asked for. I just want to be prepared if they choose not to respond to the letter requesting the compensation.
Can anyone help????

I often wonder why prostitiution remains ilegal. It has been impossible to police effectively since history records.

Surely legalisation is sensible? Where laws could be enforced to limit the spread of STD's and regulated testing associated with them.

Why allow the profits to fall into the hands of the seedy underworld of pimps and drug dealers? Why spend money trying to control it when it could be a source of tax revenue?

I understand some people will consider it immoral but then they son't have to take part in it. Some people consider eating of animals immoral so why is that not banned?

I see legalisation bringing protection to prostitutes and making at profession of choice rather than necessity and desperation. I have talked with prostitutes in Amsterdam who have benefited greatly supporting themselves through University and to be honest enjoying their work.

1 month after I told my employer I was pregnant I started to be single out. I was given tighter deadlines than my peers, more responsibility and treated harshly. I'm now 4 1/2 months pregnant, I'm showing and now they fired me. The reason that they gave me was that it just wasn't working out. Are the any steps I should take?

Taking into account that the cost-of-living varies state-by-state (and some states have their own, higher, minimum wages), what is a fair and appropriate minimum wage?

The reason I ask this is everyday in our neighborhoods and communities these animals are allowed to walk the street. This is a crime in itself. These people dont desevre a life in our society. I feel that if someone steal's the innocence of youth from a defenseless child they should be sent straight to the gallows! Everyones input would be great. I just want to know if everyone else is fed up with these monsters.

Because everyone knows ppl under 18 look at porn, plus if a kid views porn, it's not really goina mess them up. Unless they really like it, and get additicted. Otherwise they just see it, get grossed out and leave, i think it's better that when then to just ban them, because they will just keep being curious. So yah why the law?

I am taking temporary custody of my nephew. Legally I am filling out a caregiver authorization affidavit so that I can get him inrolled in school. I need to know if the parent (my brother) needs to fill out any form(s) to give me the authorization to become a caregiver. He is not giving me legal custody of him. Please advise.
