16 is the age of consent here in MA too.

Some states also add that the age difference cannot be more than 4 years or ten years (I have heard of both) until the youngest participant is of majority age (18 or 21 depending on your state)

There are SEVERAL states that have 16 as the age of consent. Alaska, Alabama, Georgia, etc. to name a few.
