And if you by any chance know about such a lawyer who has been known to care about the environment and helping people in his spare time, please let me know. I want him to be passionate about what he is doing. He has to specialize in getting compensation from huge corporations though.

to the first answerer, I say that you would be right in most cases, but your assumption is wrong. We worked our butts off and this large company came in and tried to steal it.

Just the run of the mill greedy, no ethics, lying attorney. Here's an idea why don't you try and be a productive person, start your own company & compete with those evil corporations. Maybe you would at least give a few people a job instead of trying to leech from a corporation that is not only producing product but is producing job oppurtunities as well.

I'm an Environmental Engineer.

You will not have any success suing a large company on your own, unless you have unlimited finances. Pro Bono lawyers will not take these cases.

Your options are to go through an established environmental organization, such as the Sierra Club, or make MANY complaints to the Regional Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Also, if the case is won, you won't get any money. The money will go towards an environmental cause and the EPA or State EPA.

What you are interested in is Tort Law, specifically environmental torts. Contact your state's Bar Association for a reference to lawyers who specialize in environmental and tort law.

Alan Shore from Crane, Pool, and Schmidt. He almost got his ex- secretery off of paying her taxes. I've seen him in action. He's pretty good.

just avoid the public defenders

the rest of them will probably help you think up a good reason to sue a corporation, even if you don't have one yet
