im 23, a guy.... i was whipped on my back, with a belt or something. no shirt..... anyone else this happen to? or what happened to u?

We were told how many licks we would get with a green switch. Then we were sent outside to cut a green switch and if it wasn't good enough then you had more licks added to your punishment.
Then we were stripped down to the panties and told that our mother (the one handing down the lickings) would count as she hit us. If we moved or whimpered or cried she would loos count and have to start over again. So 30 licks always turned into 90 or 100 easily.
For those of you that do not know what a green switch is, it is a very thin tree limb that when it is green will cut the skin and you will bleed from the blows. We would have scabs from the shoulder blades to the ankles.
That is what it is like to be raised by a mother who is bi-polar and a binge drinker and a step dad who was spineless and was afraid to make her stop.

A lot of spanking but no whipping! Thank God! At that time parents did it. Mine never did it for no reasons. It was my father who was in charge of the punishments for my sister and I. We were some diffucult kids, so my mother told my father when he came back from work and that was it!
I'm very sorry to hear of your mistreatments. I think this is cruel I'm now retired, so this happened in the 50's , and a long time ago. My sister and I did not get traumatized by it. The weird things we did brought that on us! LOL. It was a bit like that movie about the kid that was left alone in the house. I forgot the name of it! We were never left alone though ! God forbid! It was pretty bad enough!
I sincerely hope you are all right now about what was done to you and you made peace with it. Also forgave the one who did. Most of the time it's caused by a stressful situation and the person gets frustrated for some reason and takes it on the kids! Sad situation. Nowadays, it's more in the open and people are punished for abuse.
It comes to the point where the child thinks he deserves whatever punisment comes to him. It is also a way for children to bring attention to them, no ?

When I was little I literally got put over my dad's knee, and spanked with his hand, three licks at least every other day, got a little older and graduated to the belt.

Belts, boards, hot wheels track, switches (rose bush with thorns removed) almost always on a bare butt. Yelling and mental anguish always played a part as well. Combined with an alcoholic mom, a truck driving step dad, it was rough, but it made me a republican ;)

got a few really well deserved beatings in my time rarely can I look back and say that it was NOT justified in some way or another.................my mums usual one was a really hard smack across the mouth at the VERY instant that I had back chatted or the such like................still love my parents very very much and have gone on to raise two of my own kids [at little less smacking there tho] who are both really doing well........so you either let it bend you out of shape or grow from it that choice is yours and your alone.
Maybe you can decide to let that go in your heart and head and PROMISE your self that a no point will you EVER do such a thing to your own child and thus the cycle ends.............

I was whipped as well but with my clothes on and anywhere the belt would reach.

Honey , my family is from the country and we were "whipped" w/ a "switch". And your parents would make YOU go out to the woods and choose the one that they would use to beat you with!!

old fashioned butt whippings with a belt or fly swater or the hand,
sent to my room, restriction, soap in the mouth...teachers
could whip you and so could your neighbor if they caught you
doing something bad...things were better then than now...trust me

I wasn't punished enough for some of the crap I used to pull. I wish my parents were alive today so I could apologize and repent for being such a total idiot sometimes.

worse that happened to me was getting spanked on the bottom and that was only if I did something incredibly bad. Most of the time I was just sent to my room.
