On Dec 10th, the police demanded entry to see if the tip they received about my son's safety, we were guilty partly , the cats were taken by Animal services. The only issues was the urine odor, and the fridge, the rest of the house was clean, food in the house, but due to my prior dealings with CPS, and the cops attitude towards us, prompt the worker to take our son, I think she was expecting something worse, by the way she acted. I think the cops intimidated her into taking him. This time though, I'm not going to let them get away with this. I've learned a lot of things, I'm not stupid anymore. Their threats won't intimidate me. Their in for a treat, then maybe I'll get some respect, for finally having the balls to stand up to them

This question is aimed directly towards Texans on probation, but holds significance to anyone believing that abortion is wrong, that it is a personal right to do so, and/or that America is seriously pushing the limits on violating our rights.
My husband is on probation is Texas. Just the other day, he was waiting to see his P.O. when he heard her and another P.O. talking. Apparently, that Officer had a woman on his case load who had 8 children and is only 24. She can't hold a steady job because of how frequently she gets pregnant. Their main source of income for support is SSI, but SSI only pays enough to support the family, not pay probation.
Now, this P.O. is debating revoking her probation and telling her that if she wants to avoid prison, she has to get an abortion of her current pregnancy and get her "tubes tied" no longer allowing her to have any children. And my hubby's P.O. agreed that it would be the perfect solution!
Is this even legal?! Because it is morally disgusting...

In Florida last Wednesday a monster was executed and because it was "painful" for him Gov. Jeb Bush has stopped ALL executions in the state until an appointed commission considers last Wednesday's "Botched Execution." Why can't it be that he got what he deserved and died a death that was more than likely what he had coming? Can the state of Florida really afford to pay for all of death row to stay alive because of 1 guy actually getting justice? Glad thats not my tax dollars being wasted.

give her back to her mother for a few days...Is there anything illegal about that? Both of us still have the same custody rights as we did when we were married, so neither of us have full custody.

explain to me what the law is when it comes to a "verbal" contract/commitment/promise? What does it involve and how would one go about proving it in court? By proving I mean, to show that a verbal agreement, was was if fact made to myself by "the other party ." Can proving it occured, even be done? I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona and I know that the laws vary from state to state but, in general is there a "rule of thumb?" May I contact you back IF I have a few more questions...pending the answers I receive? If so, I have opted to receive emails to this question. Please send me an email address to reach you. Thanks so much. I greatly appreciate your time.

In our country, out of all the people who are eligible for the death penalty (those who are convicted of capital murder in a state with the death penalty), a highly disproportionate number of those executed are Black. That is, out of the people who could receive the death penalty, it is actually imposed on Blacks at a higher rate than Whites. Is this a cause for concern? You could say, no they've still been gound guilty, and as long as they've been found guilty of capital murder, it is valid. In response to that, one might analogize to the following situation, saying suppose there is a police officer who only gives speeding tickets to Blacks, and, though all the Blacks whom he stops are actually speeding, this is still an affront to our system of (purported) equal justice. Please continue this discussion below, and let me know if you think the death penalty should at least be temporarily suspended until systemic discrimination is cured.

What do you think about I.D. Cards that everyone will be reqired to have? These cards will contain all of your information, such as birthdate, social security numbers, bank info, address, credit info, and personal history, such as police records, and what not. The cards could possibly have some type of bio-metrics device, such as thumbprint scanner, or D.N.A. reader, to try and protect unauthorized users from accessing your info. If the goverment passes the law for these cards, EVERYONE will be required to posess one, and will be required to show, upon request, at risk of serious penalty. The cards could have some serious advantages, such as helping to control terrorism, to working out a good health coverage system for the entire nation, plus it would be used for everything you do, eliminating the need for seperate forms of i.d. The downsides are, no computer system is ever 100% safe, this card system could possibly be breached by hackes, or virui.

I went through a divorce the summer of 2005. I was a housewife and also received disability. My income was quite limited. My ex hubby wanted to do things "civily" and without laywers. I had agreed because there woul have been no way for me to come up with money to get the divorce done. At the time we were also able to speek about things. He had said that he wanted the house and i told him that would be fine because i would not have been able to afford it. So thinkiing that things would be settled in a decent manner, i went ahead and obtained paperwork for me to sign a quite claim deed. I then did so and we had then went to a notorizer to sign an agreement made just between the two of us that he agreed to have the refi done by july of 05. he never started the process, i had to scrape some money from my credit card and take it to court. they just gave him 90 days to sell or refi. of course he didnt in that time, but i dont have money to take him back. it finally went up for sale.

This past week a death row inmate was put to death by lethal injection. Apparently something went wrong and it took 1/2 hour for him to die. Doesn't the first shot put you to sleep like when having a surgical procedure, the remainder are to insure death. When having surgery you do not feel the doctor cutting you, so my question is why are so many having a fit about it. So it took a half an hour, did the person they killed die suddenly, suffer for a time or die in the hospital after surgery? They and their family suffered more than this inmate did. At least it is more humane than the gas chamber or electirc chair. Opinions please, not here for a pro or con fight, just what the general public feels.

You find a large bag of cash left behind by an armored car truck on a parking lot. It's nighttime, NO witnesses. You could keep the money and NEVER get caught, as long as you stay quiet. Do you keep it? Or do you return it? Remember, the bills are NOT marked, Untraceable. Let's say there is $ 96,000.00 and some change. Very few checks. Now, be honest and tell me.......

If so, are you going to join in the class action lawsuits against ebay and bargainland?

I was contacted by another ebay person who is gathering people for this purpose. the email is buzzbbird@hotmail.com for more info.

Don't you think that ebay should take some responsibility for a 'business' that has scammed over 20 thousand people?

Do you think that a business like that (bargainland) should not be allowed to hide its owners behind a corporate shield for they are the ones who make the decisions that the 'company' implements?

let me know and contact that guy so these crooks can get stopped once and for all.
