I'd appreciate any links or resources relating to laws related to this issue. The idea is to leave a 17-year-old home alone for about a week. The child is very trusted, the only worry really is the legality of the situation should any issue arise.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I caught my husband watching videos of kiddie porn. He said he deleted them off the hard drive, after I told him that 21 people have recently been arrested for the SAME thing in our town. He said that since he deleted them off the hard drive, the cops can't trace it to him. Is this true? It would be MY computer taken in a raid (with his hard drive AND mine in it). Part of me wants him to get in trouble because he has no clue about the consequences of ANY of his actions. Part of me wants to give him ANOTHER chance to see if he changes like he promises. Can they still find him for kiddie porn if he deleted it all?

Around 20 years ago I had to pay the welfare board back for overpayments. This was court ordered and I had to pay through the probation department for 5 years. I had moved out of state while I was paying them. I paid them $25 a week for 5 years. Now, they are saying they never received any money and I owe them over $9,000. How can I prove that I made all those payments? They even acknowledged that back in the 80’s they didn’t keep accurate records. I don’t have any record of payment after all those years either.

I would like to know when a person gets sentenced to prison for a long time, say for murder or child offences or what ever do the prisoners in the prisons know what that person had done before he or she enters prison. Also what kind of reception does that person receive.

My grand daughter was living with me with the promise to contribute money to help us both. She was behind about $1000.00 not helping for a half year. When things needed repair that was my bill too.
She was away spending time with some friends when the hot water heater in that part of the home messed up and damage was a result. It was not discovered right away. When she learned of this She knew I didn*t have the money to take care of the immediate costs not covered by my insurance. She heard me say that I needed to hurry to bank to see if I could qualify for a 1,000.00 loan and she said the lawsuit that I had won for her several years ago now was making it possible for her to LOAN me the $1000.00. In my disparation, I agreed... than I got to thinking; why couldnt she let it go. We talked about it and she seem to be disappointed with me. I am still storing her things also in my home. Am I wrong? She is getting married next MOnday.Comments on new things inhome.bugging her?

Everyone knows welfare can be abused. But who, exactly, are we helping by simply ripping it away from those who DO need it? It's like pills: they can be used correctly, or they can be abused. But how much sense does it make if we take pills of any abusable kind off the shelves because of those abusing them?

Now, before those select few choose to attack me based on my argument, let me make this clear: I am not an advocate for life-long welfare status. I recommend a system that allows those who need welfare to use it as they need it and, dependent on improvement over time, they can remain on welfare from 2 to 5 years. If someone has shown severely minor to no improvement, they will be dealt with concerning why they haven't. Comments?

I am talking about this murder in North London where the guy Tom Rhys Pryce was simply walking home from the tube station and was attacked and stabbed to death for his belongings which totalled about £50 in value.

Has really got me thinking that surely a debate on the death penalty must be held in the UK, as how can there be any place in this world for people like these 2 animals that murdered him for no reason what-so-ever and then laughed about it afterwards.

What do you think?

I had an arguement on how Michael Richards remarks would not hold up in court for slander. I just need to clarify why it won't. I'm assuming that a credible source needs to provide completely false information for it to be slander rather than two people verbally harrassing each other.

Her boss, who is a senior director of a major US owned Corporate Company based in the UK.

He is a liar & a thief (often using his power to get what he wants through fear or through illegal fraudulant activities)

He lines his pockets with illegal expense claims (tax free), Defrauds the US parent company out of 000's, avoids paying taxes to the Inland revenue. He also failed to declare a fellow directors financial dealings with her husband to companies house in line with UK Law.

They are now bullying my partner & accusing her of all manner of things, (May I explain that she is pregnant & has had to take time of sick unpaid due to treatment she is recieving )

My question is, how do stitch these people up for the illegal activities, fraud & tax avoidance. Who are the best people to report them too?

Do feel people, authorities, politician, educators, parents, religious leaders (past & present), etc. lie or hide the truth because they are weak to face the truth or have a hidden agenda, etc.

Please express your opinions?
