What is non-statutory law in brief?

Statutory law is written law.

Non-statutory law means not written. It is also known as common law. Common law develops from court decisions, where there was no written law to refer to.

For example: the duty of a landowner owed to a trespasser is to not intentionally harm the trespasser. No other duties are owed.

Get a lawyer. You are going to need one. I have heard your side, I would like to hear theirs. I find it hard to believe that she looked like a 25 year old at age 15. At age 15 a females body is characteristically different than an adult. Most women don't begin to even have to shave for a bikini before age 18 as hair (normal-not fuzz) does not extend past a bikini line. that is tell-tale for an underage girl. You are lucky you are also not being charged with Interference with the custody of a minor (a felony). If you were 19 I might think a little differently, but you were 27, 2 years older than I was when I got out of the service after 8 years with 2 tours in Korea and 1 in Vietnam. Next time check an ID and make a photocopy as one thing very clear is you knew she was a LOT younger than you. If you are charged and a grand jury indicts you, without you being there, you most likely can add being a fugitive to your list. In addition to non-support! Sorry, but people your age really need to know who you are going out with. Even I know that many prostitutes in Florida are 13 and 14. Like I said, get a Lawyer. Once a child is born they will have all the DNA evidence they need! There are those who will work pro-bono for a while and then if you don't have the money a public defender will be assigned to you once you are caught and charged. Sorry I can't be more positive.
