My friend is staying at a hotel that recently began "free internet access" In the lobby of this hotel, there is a small sign standing up on the far side of the counter, which mentions something about free internet access, guest must have WI FI device on their computer.
See the problem is, my friend heard the words "free internet access" Once he got into his room, he hooked up his computer via the phone line and got onto the internet. He spends alot of time on the casino type websites, he even fell asleep with the internet running on his computer.
Well after being at this hotel for 4 days, someone from the front desk came to his room stating he currently has a $368.00 phone bill. And would like to know how he is going to pay. Mind you, all the calls he made were local calls within the same area code.
Well my friend is a little pissed off, what the hell is the $10 phone deposit for? Shouldnt the front desk have notified him when he went over his $10 deposit. Would you pay the $368?

My ex left about 6 years ago. He went to work and never came back, he also quit his job and disappeared leaving me to raise our 6 month old daughter and a son on the way. He called once in the first year to threaten to take me to court for a washer /dryer he had bought, I stated "Okay then see you there" and never heard from him again. I had attempted a few years ago to have her last name changed to mine but was told I needed to find him and get his permission. Well I have no idea where he is, and we have not moved. I just want her to have the same last name as myself and her brother. 2 children from the same parents yet different last names...It just bothers me. If there is anyone who knows where I can get information on this for Canada it would be appreciated.

Ok, here it is. I was recently suspended for 3 days without pay because my immediate supervisor lied. After a recent disagreement between us, the supervisor informed the HR department that in the course of the conversation, I told her to "Shut the F**k up". HR informed me two days later that I was being wrote up for insubordination and intimidation and, because of the profanity used and the excessive nature of the conflict, was being suspended for 3 days. I denied the accusation, and offered witnesses to the fact, yet was told it didn't matter. I realize that since I live in an at-will state, I don't believe the company can be held liable yet. But I was wondering if I could file a defammation of character case against the supervisor in small claims court for the amount of wages I lost due to her lies, plus court costs. I've worked for this company for over 12 years and have never received any disciplinary action. THe supervisor just recently transferred into our department.

Is there even one single good one in the whole lot? I hate to over generalize but in the case of lawyers, I have to say they are all scum. Unhappily that includes judges and even procecutors who are supposed to be the good guys. They all don't seem to have even the slightest sense of right and wrong. What do you think?

I have noticed that no matter how I verbally deliver my questions and circumstances to people they tend to believe that I am lying and guilty when I tell them the truth. Do you think the world and it's circumstances has changed the way people see one another these days? People used to believe each other not so long ago, but it's seems like the world has change for the worse ever since 9-11. Some say we've grown closer because of that but I don't think that's true. People seem scared to believe anyone. Why do you think this "REALLY" is? Maybe the government is causing this fear in everyone? I know I feel very betrayed by them ever since the I've had to deal with them 3 years ago. I am just a soccer mom who has never and will never commit a crime or do anything illegal but people are apparently afraid of me. They think what I am telling them is just lies. No matter if it's small talk or deep coversation. Do you think it's me or the government that is at fault? Evey Vendetta, not vengence
